We emulate Christ, we obey His commands to Love each other, our neighbors and our enemies, while teaching all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. At the Second Baptist Church of Matawan, where it is our goal to be a community of faith, led by the Holy Spirit to worship and witness for our Lord Jesus Christ. It is also our vision to welcome all who are wil

ling to come into the knowledge of Jesus Christ, fellowship and membership with our church family; loving, learning, laughing and living in harmony and unity together. It is our vision to develop and build people to spiritual maturity through Bible study, prayer, evangelism, discipleship, fellowship groups, seminars; retreats, and other Christian Education activities. It is our vision to be a place where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, the let down, the left out, the cast out and the confused can find real love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, direction, guidance and encouragement. It is our vision to equip every believer for a significant ministry by helping them discover, recognize and use their God-given gifts & talents for the Kingdom of God.

Come and Join us during the month of September at the Second Baptist Church of Matawan NJ as we celebrate our Unity as one Body in Christ. We have our Sunday Morning Worship Experience each Sunday starting with Holy Communion on the 6th. Our Leading Lady Regina's Birthday is on the 1st. On the 20th is our Youth Sunday where our Youth Ministry will be in charge and the Angels of the King will minister to us through liturgical dance and also it is Jersey Sunday where we represent our favorite teams. On the 27th is our Annual Unity Day where our theme is "Loving one another as one body in Christ," Philippians 2:2. At 10:30 and our guest Preacher will be Minister Cynthia Wiley and at 3:00 our guest preacher and fellowshipping church will be Rev. Dr. Joseph Pickett and the Wicker Memorial Baptist Church of Morganville. Every week on Mondays we have Bible Study and Tuesdays we have our Prayer call at 7pm, and we are returning from our summer recess on September 8th with Prayer. We Are Second Baptist of Matawan and we are about Kingdom Building. Being about the work of the one that sent us, saved us and died for us.
