Second Baptist Church of Matawan We are the Lighthouse in the midst of the storm. We believe in a vision of ministry to the total person; spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially.

We emulate Christ, we obey His commands to Love each other, our neighbors and our enemies, while teaching all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. At the Second Baptist Church of Matawan, where it is our goal to be a community of faith, led by the Holy Spirit to worship and witness for our Lord Jesus Christ. It is also our vision to welcome all who are wil

ling to come into the knowledge of Jesus Christ, fellowship and membership with our church family; loving, learning, laughing and living in harmony and unity together. It is our vision to develop and build people to spiritual maturity through Bible study, prayer, evangelism, discipleship, fellowship groups, seminars; retreats, and other Christian Education activities. It is our vision to be a place where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, the let down, the left out, the cast out and the confused can find real love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, direction, guidance and encouragement. It is our vision to equip every believer for a significant ministry by helping them discover, recognize and use their God-given gifts & talents for the Kingdom of God.

Come and Join us during the month of June at the Second Baptist Church of Matawan NJ as we celebrate Fathers, our Youth and our Missionary Ministry We have our Sunday Morning Worship Experience each Sunday starting with Holy Communion on the 7th on the 14th is our Youth Appreciation Celebration at 2pm, Rev Ayyad Starkey will be our guest preacher, on the 20th the Women's Ministry is have their Annual Father's Day Brunch, on the 21st is Fathers' Day, Youth Sunday, and Jersey Sunday. We are closing out the month with the Missionary Ministry Annual Celebration in the morning Minister Katrina Rush is the curst preacher and at 2:30 pm Rev Gail Simmons will be the guest preacher. Every week on Mondays we have Bible Study and Tuesdays we have our Prayer call at 7pm. We Are Second Baptist of Matawan and we are about Kingdom Building. Being about the work of the one that sent us, saved us and died for us!

Come and join us on Sunday afternoon June 14th at 2:00 pm as we kick off the Summer with our Youth Appreciation Fellowship Service. We are inviting all Youth Ministries, Praise and Worship Ministries, Generation Z as well as our Millennials to come together lifting up the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. Our guest Preacher will be Rev. Ayyad Starkey of The Cathedral of Ark City in Newark NJ. Come and join us and be blessed by the presence of the Lord
