The most important blessings are the ones you did nothing to earn.
Luk 23:33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
Luk 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
Act 7:58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.
Act 7:59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
Act 7:60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
In death, both Jesus and Stephen’s final prayer requests if you will… were that God would forgive the very same men and women who were killing them.
They had no reason to except for one thing. The love of God. Showing the true love of God is saying I care about PEOPLE so much that I would lay down my life that no man should perish.
And the people who were there that day were given a blessing they did nothing to deserve. A forgiveness they never could have earned but by the grace of God.
When God blesses you through someone else’s prayers for you, when you are to a place where you feel that you can no longer intercede for YOURSELF and others intercede FOR you…
Those are the most important blessings to grab ahold of. Because if you let those blessings slip through your fingers you mind not make it out of the situation you find yourself in.
When the prayers of the righteous call down God’s blessings in your life you need to grab ahold of it and say let God know he didn’t bless you for nothing. That with that blessing you get dust yourself off, get back up and say I know my God is able!
