Thanks to those who gathered with the United Women in Faith this week to hear the story of Clarice McKenzie, who has befriended a woman detained at the immigration facility in Baldwin, Michigan.

Clarice regularly visits with Gloria, one of the detainees. Gloria is an immigrant from Nigeria who has been separated from her husband and five children.

When talking with Kay DeMoss for the Michigan UMC, Clarice said: "Jesus came to help us understand what God wants us to be. The message is very clear in both the Old and New Testaments. Feed the hungry. Clothe the poor. Visit the sick and those in prison. And especially, share God's Love with all. That's what I'm about."

Thanks to everyone who attended the Fall Family Fun night this past weekend! There was great food, a lot of fun, and good company.

If generosity had a sound, what would it be?
A lullaby? A gospel choir?
A steady bass line holding everything together?
