Since we know of the great victory we have in Christ, and the glorious future that is ahead of us, we are to remain encouraged and fixed in the things of God. When we serve God, we are to do so wholeheartedly because our work is not just for ourselves, it is to bring glory to God's name.

As we venture out into our daily journey, we do not have time for interruptions. We miss opportunities to help one another when we aren't even looking! We must slow down and look closely at the world around us; there are people in need of our comfort and support. Our friend is depressed because they've lost a job, and our family is hurting over the death of a loved one. Our spouse is anxious over bills while a co-worker fights addiction. The Samaritan was on a journey; he had somewhere else to be, yet, he stopped to help the injured man. He did not see the man's need as an interruption because he had compassion in his heart.

Dear God, Forgive us for staying busy and overlooking the needs of others. We will slow down and look for people we can comfort and encourage. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Submitting our lives to God means that we have agreed to follow His way of life. It isn't by force; it is a choice we make on our own. When we do so, God gives us the strength to resist the temptation and the taunting of the enemy.

Faith, hope, and love. Three wonderful gifts from our Heavenly Father. By faith, we believe and receive God’s grace. By hope we live, secure in our right standing with God. And both are made possible only by God’s unconditional and unending love for us. Love is the essence of God’s being. And the more we rest in God’s love, the more our lives reflect His love, bearing witness to the reason for our faith and hope.

We belong to God. We are His children. Whenever the enemy tries to tell you otherwise, stand firm on God's word and remind the enemy of whom you belong to – God, the Father.

Dear God, I thank you that I have my identity in you – as your child. Lord, I pray that when anyone tries to make me doubt who I am, I will remember to simply shake them off and tell them, confidently, that I belong to you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
