Good Friday!

It's really hard to refer to today as Good Friday when we know how Jesus suffered for us. This is the darkest and most difficult day of the Holy week, yet it holds the entire heart of the gospel. After being betrayed by Judas and willingly going with those who sought to arrest him, Jesus was beaten, mocked, and nailed to a cross. He endured a cruel and excruciating death, all for our redemption.
So as we reflect on Jesus' crucifixion today, let's look deep into our souls. How appreciative are we to God for sending His son to die, the way He did, for us?
When Jesus said "It is finished" (John 19:30) which can be translated as "Paid in full", He ended the complex sacrificial system. Some folks don't realize the extent of how good this was for us!
When Jesus died for us and Rose 3 days later, He did not just go to heaven and return. He was busy defeating satan and death. Because of all He did in those 3 days, we don't have to wait 3 days or defeat anything for our resurrection in Christ! (Our Salvation) He has done it ALL!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 3:16‭-‬17 NKJV

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5 NKJV

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
Ephesians 2:4‭-‬8 NKJV

How appropriate that, during this Holy week, Judas decided to betrayed Jesus on April "Fools" day!

Do you trust your GPS?

We all us our GPS once in a while to find places we want to go. We plug in the address or the name of the place, then the GPS finds it and asks if we would like directions. It then maps out the way we should go and we follow, trusting that it will take us to the destination we desire.

Well folks, there is another GPS that we need to trust to get us to our final destination. That GPS is:

God’s Plan for Salvation

This GPS works in a similar way. We decide the destination we want. (By the way, there is only two). Then this GPS maps out the way we should go and if we follow it we will reach the destination we desire.
I pray that y'all plug in Heaven as your destination.

And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Acts 16:30-31 NKJV

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9-10 NKJV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV

Word / Prayer / Worship

These 3 things are very important in our relationship with God. It takes all three to draw close to God. We need all of these to truly be blessed in our relationship with God. I believe that we need to start in the Word, then all will flow from there!!

People who are in love with the Word of God, thrive on it! They obey it! These people know it well, and God consistenty meets them in it. They pray with power!!

The more they read the more they pray! They pray effectively and quote scripture. They understand the importance of prayer, and they believe that God answers! They see it manifest in their lives!!

They overflow with love and thankfulness. They line their lives up with what the bible says which is what true worship is! They love the God they read, and the God they commune with in prayer. Their lives are all about worship!!

Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.
Joshua 1:8

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

Come, let us bow down and worship Him! Let us kneel before the Lord who made us. He is our God, and we are the people He cares for, His sheep that walk by His side. Listen to His voice today.
Psalm 95:6-7

Are you being divisive?

Jesus says "A kingdom that is divided against itself will be destroyed" satan tries to create division between believers so he can create destruction. We know all he wants is to kill, steal, and destroy! We must not allow that to happen! We are all members of the body of Christ! We are all members of one Church and one Kingdom!!! I pray we can all come together as one Church!!

Scripture is clear that God hates discord and fighting among His children (2 Corinthians 12:20; Galatians 5:15; James 3:14).
“Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
Philippians 2:3-4
"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace."
Ephesians 4:2-3
If every believer lived by these, arguing would virtually disappear.

We must study God's Word and express what we believe it teaches (2 Timothy 2:15), but we must do so with humility and love, giving grace to other believers who see things differently (1 Corinthians 13:1-3).

We all need to pattern ourselves and ministries after Jesus' life and ministry. He loved everyone, whether they agreed with Him or not. He never fought with anyone over their opinion. He spoke only what His Father spoke (The Bible). He taught of The Way, The Truth, and The Life (John 14:6). Then He moved on letting each person's free will decide their beliefs.

Ultimately, we all answer to our Father for how we treat each other (Matthew 12:36). Every child of God should remember that our Father places far more importance on our showing love than He does on our being “right” on every issue (1 John 4:20-21).

Be Blessed!!

Are you the Righteousness of God? If you've given your life to Jesus, then you are!

The righteousness of God simply means you are in right standing with God. In the world to be righteous or to be in right standing with your job, bank, and even the church, there are works you need to perform. Having been made the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ allows us to reign over this world and all our circumstances with a sense of authority! There's no works we can do to earn this because Jesus gave us His own righteousness. I am overjoyed at His amazing grace and priceless gift!

For if by the trespass of the one (Adam), death reigned through the one (Adam), much more surely will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in [eternal] life through the One, Jesus Christ. So then as through one trespass [Adam’s sin] there resulted condemnation for all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men. For just as through one man’s disobedience [his failure to hear, his carelessness] the many were made sinners, so through the obedience of the one Man the many will be made righteous and acceptable to God and brought into right standing with Him. But the Law came to increase and expand [the awareness of] the trespass [by defining and unmasking sin]. But where sin increased, [God’s remarkable, gracious gift of] grace [His unmerited favor] has surpassed it and increased all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, so also grace would reign through righteousness which brings eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:17-21

We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God freely and graciously declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
Romans 3:22-24

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
2 Corinthians 5:20-21

Do you make New Year's resolutions?

According to statistics over 40% of people make New Year's resolutions. Of those less than 8% actually keep them. Out of all the resolutions you could make, I encourage you to make your relationship with Jesus Christ one of the 8%!
Let's all resolve to spend more time with Him, to Glorify Him more often, to seek His guidance in all we do, and to let His character shine through us always! Let's wear His Brand with Honor, Courage, Boldness, and Righteousness!!

He has put his brand upon us—His mark of ownership—and given us His Holy Spirit in our hearts as guarantee that we belong to Him and as the first installment of all that He is going to give us.
2 Corinthians 1:22

But for me, may it never be that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is anything, but a new creation. And all who will walk-in-line with this standard— peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God. Henceforth let no one be causing troubles for me. For I bear the brand marks of Jesus on my body.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.
Galatians 6:14-18

Daily Prayer:

Dear God,
Thank You for today. I pray that I would fulfill all of the purpose You have created me for. I pray that today I would listen to You and let You lead me. I pray that I would be faithful and honorable, that my character would reflect Your character. I also pray that I would be a good friend to others. I pray I would be willing to help those who are in need and be there for them. Use me to bless others.
In Jesus’ name AMEN!

Happy New Year!
