They gave up their tomorrows so that we could have our todays. As we reflect on their earthly sacrifice, we are also reminded of the ultimate spiritual freedom won for us on the cross by Jesus Christ, who broke the chains of our hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Guarding Your Peace TodayHolidays and days of deep reflection can bring up a mix of heavy emotions—grief, memories, or a sense of loneliness. In our recovery journey, we know that isolation is where the enemy likes to operate. Reminder: There will be no Celebrate Recovery meeting Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. As we spend time with family, rest, and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country, don’t forget recovery doesn’t take a holiday.

Take a few moments this weekend to check in with your sponsor or accountability partner. A simple text, call, or prayer together can make a big difference. Isolation is where struggles grow, but connection is where healing happens.
