Laughter and Fun for Seniors (LAFFS), September 10

LAFFS group will begin meeting on Thursday, September 10 at 12:30 pm for our monthly potluck gathering. We will have a guest speaker, Kristin from Marysville Parks and Recreation, to discuss programs for Adults 55 and over. Bring a dish to share and invite a friend too!

Heaven Knows I've Tried: Lessons from Ted Lasso, September 13
Have you ever taken inspiration from a TV show? Do you see yourself in characters, or feel like you’ve heard a message you want to incorporate into your own life? Many fans of the Apple TV show Ted Lasso find it meaningful in helping them understand their own experience. It’s a show about kindness, personal growth, and the power of believing in something bigger than yourself.
Join us in September for a three-week sermon series where Pastor Meredith will compare the story of Ted Lasso to the stories of Jesus. Scenes from the TV series model what a faithful life can look like, asking the same kind of faith questions we do. Is it pointless to have hope? Can people really change? At the end of the day, what do you believe in?
Messages will be meaningful even if you haven’t seen the series, and there will be no spoilers! Join us for three weeks beginning September 14 at 9:30 am and 11:00 am.

Special Charge Conference -Vote on the Sale of the Parsonage
We will gather as a congregation tomorrow, September 2 at 6:30 pm to discuss the recommendation made by the Vision Team at the Town Hall meeting, which is to sell the church parsonage and invest the proceeds for funding our pastoral housing allowance. If so moved, church members will vote to determine our path forward. All are welcome and encouraged to join the discussion.

Choir Rehearsals Begin September 1
Regular choir rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, September 1 at 10:30 AM. We will be working on anthems and music for the fall. If you would like to join the choir please join us we would love to have you.

Bloodworks NW Bloodmobile Drive, September 23

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and these courageous moms are fighting for their kids, who are among the 10,000 children diagnosed with cancer annually in the U.S. "Our kids, kids who are fighting cancer, cannot do it without the help of donors," says Christine O’Connell. “They need blood, they need platelets often during treatment.” Watch these incredible moms donate blood together and join the fight. Schedule your appointment to donate blood at the Marysville United Methodist Church Blood Drive on September 23rd and honor those who are fighting to heal during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! The bloodmobile will be in the parking lot for the day. Plan for an hour to get thru the full donation process, and know that you are helping to save a life! All donors need to check in with photo ID.
