Sunday, July 13th marked the final service in the St. John's sanctuary,. The church has served Marysville community since 1854, and will continue to provide nutritional support to our neighbors in need. The food shelf, operating since 1970, will remain at its current location for the summer, open most Mondays, while arrangements for a new location nearby are being finalized.

Blessing of the Animals this Sunday, Oct. 7.

St. John’s Episcopal Church, Marysville, will hold its annual service in honor of the Feast Day of St. Francis on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

The special service, which is open to the public, will include the blessing of each of the animals in attendance.

The Rev. Delia Fay will conduct the service in the church’s Ghirardelli Hall, which will accommodate parishioners and guests along with their animal companions.

All animals must be securely leashed or in a secure carrier. Plush animals are also welcome.

Please note that neither horses nor rats can be accommodated this year.

Following the service, there will be refreshments and fellowship for both two-legged and four-legged attendees.

St. John’s is located at the corner of 8th and D Streets in Marysville. There is ample parking in the church’s own parking lot, which is entered on 8th St.

Join St John’s, Marysville this Sunday at the annual Blessing of the Animals. All Pets and their humans are welcome!

St. John’s will hold its annual service in honor of the Feast Day of St. Francis on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. The special service, which is open to the public, will include the blessing of the animals in attendance.
The Rev. Delia Fay will officiate in the church’s courtyard, which will accommodate parishioners and guests along with their animal companions. (All animals must be leashed or in a secure carrier.) Animal lovers who don’t currently have a pet are welcome, too.

This Sunday, Sept. 24th, St. John's will welcome our friends from St. James of Jerusalem, Yuba City for a joint service and Eucharist, celebrated by Fr. John Mangels and Fr. Rick Laughman. (Two priests, no waiting!)

The service begins at 10 am and will be followed by a bountiful buffet lunch. The church is located at 800 D Street, Marysville, on the northwest corner of D and 8th. All are welcome. Founded in 1853, St. John's is an open and affirming church that is committed to community service and embracing all those who seek a family of faith.
