In the Christian life, suffering is assured, but your position in the kingdom is also secured. Because Jesus has already paid the price, you don’t need anyone else to advocate for you. Following Christ means expecting earthly suffering, but also knowing that resurrection is coming and your eternity is secure.

We all desire glory and believe self promotion is the best path to achieve what we want. Jesus consistently shows the values in His Kingdom are different. In God's Kingdom the path to glory is not self promotion but selfless sacrifice. There is a crown ahead but there is a cross first.

The Gospel of Grace is John the Baptist & the thief on the cross are in the same place. Jesus didn’t tell the dying thief ‘you should have asked sooner’ or ‘work your way up through reincarnation’ Instead, He said ‘TODAY you will be with me in paradise!’ Your eternal destination is secure when your faith is in Jesus!

Jesus calls His disciples to work in His vineyard. Making wine is an intentional, long-term process that leads to JOY and CELEBRATION! The Gospel is God’s plan to bring life and joy to lives and hearts who desperately need it. He calls us to participate in His mission.
