"But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”
Luke 5:5

Every great thing that followed in Peter's life spawned from the moment he replied "nevertheless at Your word"! He walked on water, saw the transfigured Christ, preached on Pentecost, cast out demons, healed people, and walked right through locked prison doors; but it all started with the simple task of going fishing again on the word of Jesus!

God rewards us when we believe His word (faith), and He will continue to reward our faith each time we exercise it (to faith). Do we want to do great things for the Lord? Then we're must do the little things He asks of us first.

This is our reminder that we are in a spiritual battle against an enemy who comes only to steal, kill, and destroy but Jesus comes to give life abundantly (John 10:10)!

Pray these verses in the heat of the battle and rejoice as the Lord fights for us! Be encouraged saints, the victory was won on Calvary and these various trials are proof we're doing damage to the enemy's kingdom!

We're headed to the Uvalde area with donations and supplies! So many have lost so much and we're just glad the Lord has given us the opportunity to share His love from the Hilltop!

When we pray it sometimes seems our words do not make it past the ceiling. When this happens we ought to ask God if we are harboring any unforgiveness against others (whether we have good reason to be upset or not) because this will hinder our relationship with God!

Remember, scripture says, "rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft" (1 Sam. 15:23) because it is destructive to every area of our lives. This includes our rebellion against forgiving the way we're commanded.

As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of American Independence (and we should be grateful for our freedoms) let's not forget that true freedom is only found in Christ Jesus!

As we seek to "Walk by the Spirit" (Gal. 5:16) we often underestimate just how powerfully God wants to move through us!

Jesus not only promised He would send the Holy Spirit to lead us but that through the Holy Spirit we would do greater works than even He did (John 14:12-18)!

The question is, do we believe Him? We believe He saved us, is preparing a place for us, and that He will come again to get His church and I pray we are each believing the Holy Spirit will do the "greater works" Jesus promised before He left!
