This Sunday, in lieu of a traditional service, Renew Friendsgiving will take place at the Boemler’s house at 4:00 pm. We will have food and friendship. All are welcome. If you would like to join but don’t have the details, please send an email to [email protected].

Once again, we will not have service on Sunday, November 27 but we look forward to seeing you for our last service on December 4 at 10:30 am.

It is with heavy hearts, full of gratitude for our graceful God, that we at Renew must announce the closing of our doors.

On this day we will be celebrating all of the amazing ways our good and faithful God has worked and will continue to work through Renew.

When there is a 5th Sunday in the month we take a break from “normal gatherings” and do something for the community. This Sunday we will be packing kits for the Heat Wave Center. Please bring donations from the included list on Sunday for packing. If you want to donate but can not join us on Sunday, dm us for Tom or Josh’s address to drop them off.

It was the 5th Sunday of the month, which means Renew was out serving our community. We had one group go to McKelvey Elementary and another group go to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

At McKelvey, our group cleared out a lot of weeds and overgrown brush to reclaim a tetherball area and paint their buddy bench on the playground.

At Ronald McDonald House, our group made breakfast for 9 families who had children with major health needs.

We love our small congregation of servant-hearted people, and we love our community!

We weren't able to gather this morning, but we wanted to share some gems from our lesson.

One of our Scripture readings was Isaiah 62:1-5 -- https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+62%3A1-5&version=CSB. God's people were in exile after wandering away from him. Their land was desolate. They were far from home, wondering about their future. And God sent them this message: He delights in them. They will be a beautiful testimony of his majesty for the other nations. He considers them married to Him (think eternal love and loyalty).

For Christians, this is a beautiful truth--even when we have failed, even when things seem bleak, even when we are broken--God promises to take delight in us and to be forever connected to us.

Merry Christmas, everyone. This short Christmas message from Renew Church is to help us all reflect on the true meaning of Christmas, when we celebrate the birth of Christ--the One who brings justice, who frees the oppressed, who redeems, who saves. Have a wonderful Christmas.

Reminder - we are not gathering on the 26th, so that everyone can spend time with family. We will see you back at 2500 Metro on January 2 at 10:30!
