Society of St. Vincent de Paul USA Sharing our blessings of time, talent and treasure with those who need help and hope. No work of
charity is foreign to the Society.

We are men and women of every age, every race, every income level, who share our blessings of time, talent, and treasure with those who need help and hope. From our thrift stores and food pantries, to disaster recovery and prison reentry, to advocacy and systemic change, we serve our communities however they need it most.

Letโ€™s continue to break the stigma that asking for help is a sign of weakness; itโ€™s often the first step toward meaningful and lasting change. ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŽ—๏ธ

For many men, asking for help can feel harder than carrying the burden alone.

This Men's Mental Health Month, we're reminded that strength isn't about facing every challenge by yourself. Sometimes, strength is taking the first step toward growth, healing, and support. ๐Ÿซ‚

As Troy shared after participating in SVdP's Adult Life Skills program:

"Before this class, I thought being a man meant carrying every burden alone. Through St. Vincent de Paulโ€™s Adult Life Skills program, I learned that real strength comes from asking for help, building healthy habits, and believing in my own future. This journey has helped me grow not just as a provider, but as a person."

Stories like Troy's remind us that hope grows when people have the support, encouragement, and tools they need to move forward. ๐Ÿ’™

Amen.

The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin is proud to announce that we have been awarded a $3 million grant from the newly launched Marin Senior Life Foundation to prevent senior homelessness in Marin County.

Over the next five years, we will create a countywide pilot program to keep precariously housed older adults from becoming homeless.

In our Annual Report, we share the story of Julia, a lifelong Marin resident who we kept safely housed with our senior shallow rent subsidy program. With this grant, we are able to extend this same lifeline to more older adults like Julia.

Together, we will help restore the hope and stability that every older adult needs.
