WIT Ministries

WIT Ministries Whatever It Takes! Ministries is committed to helping couples and individuals do “whatever it takes” Step one to true ministry . . .

As young, growing believers, Paul and Jenny Speed thought they were headed to the mission field after their wedding, where they would change the world for Christ! In God’s faithfulness, however, He had a change the world for Christ! In God’s faithfulness, however, He had a lot of refining to do in their lives before He would allow them to experience His life-changing power and share it with others

. they needed brokenness in their own lives! Fourteen years later, as Paul came clean from moral failure and Jenny found freedom from hurt and bitterness, God was finally able to release His power in their lives as they each found the true meaning of brokenness over their own sins. Since that time many years ago, God has granted them true and lasting freedom in Christ and has given them a message of hope to share with others. Paul and Jenny have helped hundreds of families across the United States and around the world find freedom in their lives. They share tremendous truths that God has taught them through their own failures, and their testimony has prompted many to seek God’s forgiveness and cleansing. In 2006 Paul and Jenny launched “Whatever It Takes!” Ministries, which hosts conferences for couples and singles and intensive retreats for men or women. WIT Ministries also provides DVDs, books, and other resources for those who desire to walk a life of freedom from past bondage or failure. WIT Ministries is made up of a team of married couples across America who have found freedom in their own lives and marriages and willingly volunteer their time to minister to hurting couples or individuals. The Goodness of God

Don’t let life’s circumstances or relationships cause you to doubt the goodness of God.

Because this is one of the enemy’s oldest strategies.

From the very beginning, Satan has been working to get us to question God, to question His Word, His character, His motives, and ultimately, His goodness. We see his strategy clearly in the Garden of Eden.

First, he questioned God’s Word.

The serpent approached Eve and said, “Did God really say…?” He took something God had clearly spoken and twisted it into a question.

That’s often where the enemy begins with us. Did God really say that? Can you really trust that promise? Is that really what God meant?

He wants to create just enough doubt that we stop standing on what God has said.

Then he denied God’s consequences.

God had warned Adam and Eve that eating from the tree would bring death. But the serpent directly contradicted God: “You will certainly not die.”

The enemy still does this today. He minimizes the consequences of disobedience and makes sin look harmless. He whispers, “It won’t really hurt you. It’s not that serious. Everyone does it. You deserve this.”

He wants us to believe that God’s boundaries are restrictive rather than protective.

Then he appealed to pride.

The serpent told Eve that if she ate the fruit, her eyes would be opened and she would be like God, knowing good and evil.

In other words, “God is holding something back from you. You need to take matters into your own hands. You can decide what is best for yourself.”

And that is where doubt becomes dangerous.

Once we begin to doubt God’s goodness, we begin to question His Word. When we question His Word, we become more willing to reject His wisdom. And when we stop trusting His wisdom, we start trusting our own.

That is exactly what happened in the Garden.

And the enemy still uses the same pattern today.

When circumstances hurt, when someone we love disappoints us, when a relationship breaks our heart, when God doesn’t answer the way we hoped, or when life doesn’t make sense, the enemy whispers:

“If God were really good, why would He allow this?”

But hear this:

Your circumstances do not determine God’s goodness.
Someone else’s choices do not determine God’s goodness.
Your unanswered questions do not determine God’s goodness.

God was good in the Garden.
God was good at the cross.
God is good in your story, even in the chapters you would never have chosen.

The enemy wants you to interpret God through your circumstances. God wants you to interpret your circumstances through who He has revealed Himself to be.

Don’t let what you cannot understand make you question what you already know about God.

He is good.
He is faithful.
He is trustworthy.
He is for you.

And when the enemy whispers, “Did God really say?”, go back to the Word.

When he says, “God’s way will cost you too much,”, remember that God’s ways are for your protection.

When he says, “You need to take control,” remember that surrender is not weakness; it is trust.

The enemy’s strategy has not changed. He still wants you to doubt the goodness of God so that you will take your life into your own hands.

So don’t give him that victory.

When you cannot see His plan, trust His heart.
When you cannot understand His ways, stand on His Word.
When life feels out of control, remember who is still in control.

Because God’s goodness was never dependent on your circumstances.

God is good, not just when life is good, but because He is God.

Your spouse is not your enemy!

Read it again👆🏼

Satan doesn’t need to destroy your marriage directly if he can get you to do it for him.

It doesn’t mean there won’t be disagreements or disappointment.

But Scripture says:
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood…” Ephesians 6:12

The enemy wants resentment.
The enemy wants bitterness.
The enemy wants distance.
The enemy wants isolation.
The enemy wants to keep a record of wrong.

But God!
God’s ways are different.

God’s way is not a husband and wife facing each other in pride.

God’s way is two people shoulder to shoulder facing the real enemy.

Come join us at the next marriage intensive to learn how.
