In December 2020, Fred Moyer was named Nesting Oasis Operations Manager where he oversees all foundation assets and operational procedures. This role is an honorable role and Fred has proven that he is more than capable of ensuring the smooth operations of our facilities and properties we have been blessed to operate.
Today Fred Moyer held a group for DayStar participants at Camp Lee Ford (a location for children of this area). There were 7 participants in attendance. Fred asked each participant to list 3 personal goals to share with the group. Following these discussions, he challenged participants to identify things that would prevent each person from achieving their goals. Each participant was actively engaged by asking questions and responding to one another- participants challenged themselves to look forward. Fred asked, “what does forward look like?” Some participants stated that they were afraid to take the first step forward and others acknowledged that they’re a working progress. Fred admitted that he was taking some new steps in his role and was at first nervous about speaking in this forum but because of taking the first steps, it became easier as time went by. Following the group, the 7 participants began maintenance around the facility while Fred began case management for each participant.
There was something special about witnessing Fred grow into his role; he doesn’t back away from a challenge easily!
