The AI Spiritual Authority Bombshell

One in three Christians now trust AI for spiritual guidance as much as they trust their pastor.
That's not a fringe statistic. That's from Barna Group — released this month. And it gets stranger. The same survey found that 72% of those same Christians are worried about AI replacing their pastors. They trust it and they're afraid of it at the same time.
I've thought about this a lot. And here's what strikes me: Yeshua told His disciples He was going to send a Counselor — the Spirit of Truth — who would guide them into all truth. Not an algorithm. Not a language model trained on human-generated religious content. The real Counselor. The Holy Spirit.
We live in a moment when the counterfeit of that is being handed out for free on every phone in the world. And the Church is confused about whether to take it.

The ancient foundations of the faith Yeshua actually taught - Torah observant, covenant rooted, and stripped of the pagan traditions and man-made doctrines that have been layered onto Christianity for seventeen centuries.
I am Phil Balay. For twenty-two years I taught in traditional evangelical churches. Then the Spirit started showing me what I had been missing. Once I saw it I could not unsee it.

We must stay vigilant in learning and identifying truth. Many of the doctrines that have been handed down are just not Biblically accurate. They may have some true elements but not completely right therefore it makes them completely wrong. We have been given so many choices in denominations/ doctrines yet none have the same gospel as Jesus and Paul. Follow to learn more.

In south-central Indiana, a small community of believers is returning to something ancient yet urgently relevant for today. Vigilant Faith exists because we believe the Church has drifted from its original foundation— not through malice, but through centuries of well - intentioned traditions and also deceptions that have obscured the pure gospel Jesus and His apostles proclaimed. We’re not here to criticize other ministries, but to sound a loving alarm: the end of days approaches, and we must ensure our faith is built on rock, not sand.

Our mission is threefold and unapologetically biblical. First, we are passionate about winning souls — because a gospel that doesn’t save the lost isn’t a gospel at all. Second, we are committed to restoring first-century Christianity, stripping away the layers of Greek philosophy and Roman tradition to rediscover what the early Church actually believed and practiced. Third, we exist to equip believers for the end times , because Jesus warned that deception would be so convincing that “if possible, even the elect would be deceived” (Matthew 24:24). The name “Vigilant Faith “ reflects our calling: to watch, to warn, and to walk faithfully as we await our Messiah’s return. We invite you to join us in this urgent work — not because we have all the answers, but because together, we can seek the truth that sets us free and prepares us for our Messiah’s return.
