During this past year your generous contributions to Sheepdog Ministries have made an incredible impact on the Congolese refugee community in Nairobi, Kenya. As the pandemic hit the refugees in Nairobi were unable to find ways to earn income. Through your kind hearted donations were able to provide maize flour, beans, rice, cooking oil, and rice for 21 families during the early months of the pandemic. As a matter of clarification, a family among the refugees does not indicate just parents and children. It also includes adult brothers, sisters, and extended family members. In the case of widows it may include other widowed sisters and their families.
Last summer the landlord of the congregation would not renew their lease on the building where they worshiped. Building is a generous term. Their place of worship was constructed of wooden poles, metal sheet siding, and cloth covering on the inside. Sheepdog through your kindness and generosity was able to provide funding that allowed the Kayole congregation to secure a location and construct a new and much better place of worship.
