So, camp season is over...destruction and construction begins on the new dining hall renovations! And yes, we are still open, still serving those who come for conferences and retreats....we will just be doing things a little differently! Purpose over preference...Grateful to the Father for the opportunity to do this.

MORNING CUP OF HIGHLANDER GROGG
Follower of Christ...what are you fighting for? Are you even aware that you are in the battle?
G.K Chesterton wrote, "A true warrior fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is in front of him." J.R.R. Tolkien had the character Faramir state in 'The Two Towers', "I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend".
We fight a spiritual battle daily, not for ourselves, but for those we love. We fight to be the example of Christ to others, so that they, in turn, will do the same. We fight so that those who do not yet know Christ will have the opportunity to accept the Gift. We fight on Purpose for the Purpose; and we fight knowing the battle is the Lord's. We fight on bended knee.
