Week one of Camp Season...over 150 campers...great weather...great worship...great time...but most importantly, at least five young people came to know Christ as Savior. This is why we are here. It's not the fun, it's not the activities, it's not the fellowship, (although those are awesome) it's the Purpose...to serve as a resource for others to Discover, Develop, and Deploy a Transformed Life in Christ. Thank you, Father, for the privilege of being a part of Highland Lakes.

Hymera Southern Baptist Church, founded in 1914 and the first Southern Baptist Church in Indiana, has closed its doors. The members embodied what it meant to be faithful and steadfast. What they didn't have in numbers, they made up for as prayer warriors and in committment. The church may have to close its doors, but the legacy will live on in the lives of countless campers who were the beneficiaries of the partnership Hymera had with Highland Lakes Camp and Conference Center and the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana. Highland Lakes will gladly receive and display the church bell and original wooden pulpit at the campground as gifts from Hymera. Thank you Hymera Southern Baptist Church, and thank you Carl MacAnally for all you have done for us.
