With Appreciation to John and Meg Partington!
After more than 30 years of faithful membership at Trinity Episcopal Church, John and Meg Partington will be departing Martinsburg later this summer. They are beginning an exciting new chapter as they build a home in Peoria, Illinois, where they will be closer to their son John, his family, and their grandson, Colston.
Throughout their years at Trinity, John and Meg have generously shared their time, talents, and hearts in service to God and this parish family. They have served faithfully as readers, ushers, and Sunday School teachers, helping to nurture the faith of both children and adults. John has also contributed his leadership and dedication to several stewardship campaigns, encouraging our congregation's ministry and mission.
In addition to these formal ministries, John was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed—whether climbing ladders to decorate the church for the holidays, working behind the grill at parish picnics, or quietly taking on tasks that helped make Trinity a welcoming and vibrant community.
John’s friendly, humble, and steady presence among us has been a blessing, and both he and Meg will be deeply missed. While we are saddened to see them leave, we rejoice in the opportunities that await them and give thanks for the many ways they have enriched the life of our parish.
As they embark on this new season, we commend them to God's care and pray that the Lord will bless them with good health, happiness, and abundant joy among family and friends.
Godspeed, John and Meg. You will always remain a cherished part of the Trinity family.
May God continue to bless John and Meg as they begin this new adventure.
