Are you interested in learning more about the Catholic faith or joining the Catholic Church? Classes for OCIA-the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults restart on October 11 (Sunday after Oktoberfest) following 9 am Mass in the Chapel. There is no obligation to join the Catholic Church if you begin classes. OCIA sessions held until January are called Inquiry; these classes explain the scripture and meaning of the Catholic faith, teachings, and traditions. Ladies Sodality – We are planning to have lunch at Teddy Joe’s on the third Thursday of the month at 11:00 am – just an informal gathering to get together, visit, and eat. The first date would be Thursday, August 20. We realize that it won’t work for everyone to meet during the day, or every month, but will give the opportunity for any of the ladies who can, to enjoy lunch together when it works for them. Thank you to the Bishop Leo J Steck 4th Degree Assembly and Donna Fennewald for the donation of Ordinary Time Vestments - a Chasuble and Dalmatic that were purchased in Greg’s memory and first worn to celebrate Mass on July 12, the first anniversary of Greg’s passing.

Congratulations to Derek Bohr, AJJensen, Kyle Oligschlaeger, and Mike Jennings on their induction into the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Leo J Stack Assembly at the exemplification Saturday evening. Father Greg Oligschlaeger, State Chaplain, was the Honoree of the Exemplification. The 4th Degree is the Patriotic Degree of the Knight of Columbus.
