We received the sweetest placemats from the Martinsburg Church of Christ!! They had a VBS where the kids got to write encouraging messages for our recipients. Thank you to all who were involved!!❤️

A message from Pastor Chris Butler

Let me give you a practical challenge this week. Pray this prayer every morning for a week from Psalm 141.

"Lord, guard my mouth." Help me speak words that honor You. Keep me from gossip. Keep me from lashing out with my words in frustration. Help me encourage people today.

"Lord, guard my heart." Don't let me become attracted to things that dishonor You. Protect my desires. Protect my imagination. Protect my attitudes. Keep my heart sensitive to Your Spirit.

"Lord, make me teachable." If someone corrects me today, help me listen. If I am wrong, help me admit it. If I need to apologize, give me courage to apologize. If I need to change, give me humility to change.

""Lord, keep my eyes on You." When problems come, help me look to You. When temptation comes, help me look to You. When I'm discouraged, help me look to You. When I'm afraid, help me look to You.

"Lord, be my refuge." When I am weak, be my strength. When I am confused, be my wisdom. When I am tempted, be my protection. When I am discouraged, be my hope. When I am lonely, remind me that You are with me.
