"God: Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?" from.. Evan Almighty!

Joshua Kelly

From: Berkeley Springs, WV
Favorite ice cream flavor: Cotton Candy
Something God has been teaching me: God has been teaching me a lot about injustice.

Tyler Wilson

From: The beautiful rolling hills of southern Hoosier country.
Interesting fact: I have a dream/goal to, at some point in my life, move to Wyoming, get a nice patch of land with the Great Plains to the East and the Rockies to the West, set up and work on a wheat farm, and just live simply, aesthetically, and self-sufficiently for however long I need to.
Favorite ice cream flavor: Cake batter.
Something God has been teaching me: God has been teaching me lately to slow down, look around, and be truly present in each moment. It is so much harder than it sounds.

Molly Bramble

From: Fort Thomas, Ky
Interesting fact: I love to write/perform spoken word poetry
Favorite ice cream flavor: Neapolitan
Something God has been teaching me: He's definitely been teaching me a lot about listening in prayer and trusting Him to work even if I'm not always "feeling" Him there.

Katie McPherson

From: Kansas
Interesting fact: I'm a hula hoop champ
Favorite ice cream flavor: Choc Chip Cookie Dough
Something God has been teaching me: He has a plan for everything, so I need to quit worrying.

Kelsey Adams

From: Kentucky
Interesting fact: I am a ballerina
Favorite ice cream flavor: pistachio
Something God has been teaching me: The way that I spend my time is a reflection of my priorities—I need to intentionally set aside time just to be with Him, because He should be my top priority.

This is a card that was received after the Veterans Day Meal you all provided: Don and I can't begin to express our appreciation for the wonderful dinner and program on Sunday for the Veterans. Don said it was the one of the best Veteran's Days he has ever had. It really meant a lot to him. We both know it was a lot of work! When the soldiers returned from Vietnam they were never thanked- as a matter of fact it was just the opposite. Many Americans weren't very nice to them. And the terrible conditions they lived with and the really awful things they witnessed still line in the hearts of soldiers who served in Vietnam. I'm sure that the way all of you worked so hard to honor all of the Veterans meant more than you will ever know. Thank you. God Bless! Yours in Christ, Don and Dee LaFaber
