We are back as Allens Church Inc. Our church congregation, using a third-party, was able to purchase our property back from our previous denomination. God blessed us with a significant amount of funds for the down payment. We will still owe over $400,000 to pay back towards retiring the debt.
God honored our congregation when we left our property at the end of May last year. We worshiped with a local congregation and decided in October to meet and worship with our own church family in a local business. God is so good to allow us to be able to return to our property and facilities. We look forward to returning to our facilities to minister and reach out to the community as a nondenominational church. Our first service back on our church campus will be at 10:00 AM on March 8, 2026.
Sometimes it takes stepping out on faith to experience the overwhelming power of the Lord God Almighty. We truly give Him all the praise. Please like, comment, and share! Follow our new Allens Church page.

Our Allens Church Family is now back worshipping together each Sunday at 10:00 AM. Ginn Funeral Home is graciously allowing us to use their chapel. We are an independent body of believers and not associated with any denomination.

Keep our congregation in your prayers as we have been away from our location four months. God has a plan.

All funds and materials were turned over to the District. The district’s strategic growth team will look to see if they want to reopen the church as a new United Methodist Church. If they do not reopen, the property will be put up for sale. The congregation hopes to purchase the property and reopen as an independent church. Church membership will be transferred to the closest UM Church, which is probably Lavonia UMC. Members will contact their church to have membership moved. You still have access to the Allens Cemetery and members can still be buried there. A management company will take over managing the property and will make sure the grass is cut and the church is maintained. Again, we pray that we will be able to purchase the property and reopen soon. Please continue to pray for the people of Allens Church.

Allens United Methodist Church officially closed this afternoon. A church conference was held with the UMC District Superintendent and it was a unanimous decision to close. More information will be posted.
