Many times we choose to do wrong. The Bible calls that sin. God is a holy and perfect God and He cannot have a relationship with sinful people. God, in His love for mankind, made friendship with us possible by sending His son, Jesus, to take the punishment for our sins by dying on a Roman cross. If you believe that Jesus died for you, and trust in the life HE lived rather than your own good works,
God will forgive your sins and you can have a relationship with God. That gracious forgiveness comes and a relationship with Him begins when we trust in Jesus, decide to follow Him, and are immersed (baptized) as He instructed us. God has asked His people to come together on a regular basis, not only to pray and learn the way to live life as it was meant, but to encourage one another to remain faithful until Jesus returns to take us to an eternal home with Him.
