I read a magazine during lunch. Started a book when I was done cooking and cleaning around 4:00. It’s like I’m back in the 90’s! No YouTube or scrolling and my mind feels sooo much better!

Wearing a casual dress even when I have no where to go gives a pep to my step on this average cloudy day.
Playing bird songs on Spotify and using my happy light also helps my morning feel cheery despite the dreary weather.

Happy Sunday! ✝️
Sundays have been many things over the years. Wonderful, dreadful, boring, and exciting. I’m happy that we have been in a season of pleasant Sundays the past few years. We’d love to say we have found community and deep fellowship, but that has been hard to come by in a culture that honors busyness over connection. What we have found is a place of worship and teaching that honors Christ, isn’t painted black, and the music isn’t deafening. If you’re in a hard Sunday season, I pray you keep your eyes on Jesus. He will carry you through to the next one. If you need to talk, send me a DM.

GRATITUDE... Not just knowing I should be grateful, but through journaling about all that I am grateful for, I become a more grateful person. FEELING grateful dispels negative thoughts and feelings while nurturing hope and faith in my soul.

GRATITUDE can grow. Our brains can change. Our moods and feelings can improve. We have power over our thoughts and feelings, which are the keys to enjoying our lives regardless of the circumstances.

We don't have to deny how we feel when we are down. We can process those feelings like I talked about in my earlier post. GRATITUDE can prevent and heal many of those low moods and negative thoughts.
