August is here and that means schools are getting ready to start again. If you need some clothes for the young ones or ourselves, visit The Salvation Army Thrift Store at 232 N. 13th St here in Marshalltown.

2026 RAGBRAI has started and it is coming to Marshalltown. We want the riders to be safe and refreshed each and every day of the ride. So, riders drink plenty of water and be safe.

Our Thrift Store will be open, and we will have water available. Stop by and do some shopping.

Hello everyone,

We would like to let you know that the Salvation Army Thrift store on N. 13th st is open Tuesday thru Saturday 10AM to 6PM for your shopping and donation drop off.

We are closed on Sunday and Monday on those days we cannot except donation because no one is there to receive them. We want to keep our space clean so please make your donations during our open hours.

Well, it is July and many places are doing Christmas in July sales. It is now time to think about volunteering to ring the bell this Christmas for The Salvation Army. Soon we will have the signup app available. An since it is Christmas in July you might want to make gift to The Salvation Army of Marshalltown. Needs happen year-round and summer is the slow time for cash donations but a big time to meet needs. Take time to think about it, and then make your decision to give a gift.

This Summer is getting to be Hot.
Stay safe, keep cool and drink lots of water.
If you need a bottle of water stop by The Salvation Army and we will give you a bottle or two. Just ask for it.
We are open Monday thru Thursday 9am to Noon and 1pm to 4pm, Friday 9am to Noon except on Holidays.
We are closed July 3rd.

Summer is just around the corner.
So are summer camps, if your child has been a part of youth activities we have camp opportunities for them.
Of course, if they have not, we have opportunities for them too.
What you will need to do is email or call and ask to speak with Major Deborah, she will help you find the camp that best fits your child.
