Buried at Old Powder Mill Cemetery, Rev. Earlie Osburn Adams started life in Smith County, TX.

Born August 25, 1876 to Abraham and Clemmie Adams, Earlie was the oldest of about 12 children (that can be verified on census records). Earlie married Lillie Solmon around 1902 near Troup, TX and by 1910 was a public school teacher.

By 1930, the Adams' had moved to Marshall and Earlie was now listed on census records as a minster. They had six children: Abraham, Carmie, Celestine, Veda, Earlie Jr, and Annell. They made their home at 214 Wood Street in Marshall.

Some of the Adams children are interred in Powder Mill's north section (to the left of the main entrance) alongside Earlie and Lillie.
