🎉 FOUR NEW YOUTH TONIGHT AT GILL MEMORIAL! 🎉

What a great night at GILL Memorial! We had some great chill time together, knocking down some 🍉 watermelon, 🍟 crinkle fries with Whataburger spicy ketchup, and washing it all down with some 🥤 ice-cold Coca-Cola!

Then it was time for a fun team builder called “Foot Pass” 👣🏀 — and there was definitely plenty of teamwork and laughter!

From there, we headed into worship, where Emma and Kim led us with some great songs. 🙌🎶

We also went over our prayer guide as we get ready for our prayer walk at the high school next Wednesday. We’re excited about what God is going to do!

❤️ Pretty great time tonight!
Four new youth, lots of laughs, great food, worship, and growing together as a team!

Team Valor is growing!

🙏 School Prayer Walk Guide

“Pray without ceasing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17

As we walk around the school, we’re not there to judge anyone or draw attention to ourselves. We’re there to quietly pray for the students, teachers, staff, families, and the school community.

🏫 1. Pray for the School

* Pray that God would protect the school.
* Pray for a safe environment where students can learn.
* Pray for wisdom for administrators and school leaders.
* Pray that the school would be a place of kindness, respect, and encouragement.

Scripture:

“Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” — Psalm 127:1

🎓 2. Pray for the Students

* Pray for students who are struggling academically.
* Pray for students who feel lonely, rejected, or discouraged.
* Pray for healthy friendships.
* Pray that students would make wise decisions.
* Pray that students would have people around them who encourage them toward what is right.

Scripture:

“Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example…” — 1 Timothy 4:12

👩‍🏫 3. Pray for Teachers & Staff

* Pray for patience and wisdom.
* Pray for strength when they are tired or overwhelmed.
* Pray for teachers to recognize students who need extra encouragement.
* Pray for counselors, coaches, office staff, custodians, cafeteria workers, and everyone who serves the school.

Scripture:

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God…” — James 1:5

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 4. Pray for Families

* Pray for parents and guardians.
* Pray for families experiencing difficulties.
* Pray for strong families and healthy homes.
* Pray that parents would have wisdom in guiding their children.

❤️ 5. Pray for Those Who Are Hurting

Ask God to bring hope, encouragement, and good people into the lives of students who are struggling.

Pray for:

* Students dealing with loneliness
* Students experiencing bullying or conflict
* Students carrying problems from home
* Students who feel like nobody cares
* Students who need someone to listen

✝️ 6. Pray That Students Would Know God

* Pray that students would have opportunities to hear about Jesus.
* Pray for Christian students to be courageous and kind.
* Pray that believers would be good examples rather than simply talking about their faith.
* Pray that God would place the right people in students’ lives at the right time.

Scripture:

“You are the light of the world.” — Matthew 5:14

🙌 7. Pray for YOUR Youth Group

Before leaving, gather together and pray:

“God, use us. Help us be the kind of people who bring hope, kindness, encouragement, and Your love wherever we go. Give us courage to stand for what is right and wisdom to know when someone needs a friend. Help us remember that we may never know how one small act of kindness can change someone’s day—or even their life. Amen.”

🔥 A Simple Challenge for the Youth

Tell each student:

“As we walk, don’t just look at the building. Look at the people who make up the school. Every classroom represents students. Every hallway represents students. Every door represents an opportunity to pray.”

And remind them:

We aren’t walking around the school because we think we’re better than anyone else. We’re walking because we believe prayer matters.
