☀️ **Hello June!** ☀️

For many people, June is known as the kickoff of summer. For others, it is associated with cultural movements and celebrations.

But here at **Gill Memorial Baptist Church**, we are choosing to make June about something far greater.

✝️ **This month, we will celebrate JESUS.**
📖 We will stand on **God’s Word.**
❤️ We will love people with **truth and grace.**
🙏 We will pray for our community.
📣 We will share the hope of the Gospel.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we believe our identity is not found in culture—it is found in Christ.

The world may tell us what matters most, but **Joshua 24:15 reminds us, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”**

This June, let’s keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, walk in biblical truth, love others well, and boldly shine the light of Christ in a world that desperately needs Him.

**June belongs to the Lord.**

Today we celebrated Deaginn’s high school graduation and took time as a church family to pray for Deaginn and the entire Slusher family as he prepares to leave for the United States Navy on June 18.

My journey with Deaginn began when he was just six years old—a young boy following me around at church camp, always wanting to help. It has been a blessing to watch him grow into the Christian young man he is today.

We enjoyed great food, shared meaningful fellowship, spent time in powerful prayer, and encouraged Deaginn with Scripture to guide him as he begins this exciting new chapter of life. We are proud of him, thankful for the man he has become, and excited to see how God will use him in the days ahead.

Congratulations, Deaginn! We love you, we’re praying for you, and we look forward to seeing all that God has in store for your future. ⚓🇺🇸🙏

🎓⚓ YOUTH GROUP TOMORROW! ⚓🎓

Hey Youth!

Join us tomorrow at 4:00 PM at the church! We’ll spend time fellowshipping together in the youth room and then cruise downstairs to celebrate Deaginn’s graduation.

We’ll also take time for a special commissioning prayer, asking God’s blessing, protection, and guidance as Deaginn prepares for his new adventure in the United States Navy.

Come ready to encourage, celebrate, and pray for one of our own!
