Something to think about….

“Why do we assume church has to look like what we’ve become used to in the modern Western church?
The early church gathered in homes, shared meals, prayed together, studied Scripture deeply, confessed sin, carried one another’s burdens, and lived like family under Biblical eldership and leaders. Church was never primarily about a stage, a building, or polished production — it was about believers devoted to Christ and to one another.
There’s nothing wrong with large gatherings or church buildings. But somewhere along the way, many of us began equating ‘real church’ with a specific format, schedule, or experience.
What if church is less about attending an event… and more about being a people?
Acts 2 describes believers who were deeply involved in each other’s lives daily — not just sitting in rows once a week.
Maybe we need to ask ourselves:
Have we embraced biblical church life, or simply the version of church culture we inherited?
‘They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.’ — Acts 2:42”
