Without Jesus, no one is good. God alone is good. This is why comparing and justifying our own goodness to the evils of others is so eternally dangerous.

Only those who live a perfect life can stand before God's Holiness after we die and survive. Jesus was the only perfect person who ever lived. If we believe we've lived the holy life of Jesus, and therefore justify ourselves because of it, we are deceived, and will suffer the consequences for believing that deception 🥲

Believe it or not, all of us are born into hell, we live in hell, and we die in hell.

It is Jesus that gives us the way out of the hell we are already in. God does not punish anyone for rejecting Him. We punish ourselves by rejecting God, and the sanctify, transforming, regenerating and redemptive power that has been purchased through the sacrificial death of Jesus the Christ. It is He, and He alone, that  has freely given to all who sincerely ask, this free eternal Gift of Love...
