Is church just something you attend… or something you truly experience?

Fellowship isn’t just a “nice extra”—it’s a vital part of worship. It’s where we grow, support one another, and live out our faith together.

So take a moment to reflect:
✨ Do you feel excited when you gather with others, or does it feel routine?
✨ Do the needs of others matter deeply to you?
✨ Is church a place that draws you closer spiritually?
✨ How important is community in your walk?

Worship was never meant to be done alone. We were created for connection—for encouragement, for growth, and for belonging.

Let’s be a church that shows up for each other, cares deeply, and grows stronger together. 💛

✨ Midweek Reflection ✨

As we move past Easter Sunday, we’re reminded that the story didn’t end at the empty tomb it was just the beginning. The hope, grace, and new life we celebrated is something we carry with us every single day.

Midweek is the perfect time to pause, reflect, and realign our hearts. No matter what this week has brought, take a moment to remember: He is risen, and that changes everything.

Join us as we continue to walk in that hope together 💛

Today, we sit in the quiet.

After the sorrow of Good Friday, there is a pause… a stillness… a waiting.

For the disciples, this day was filled with uncertainty, grief, and questions. The promise had been given—but the fulfillment had not yet been seen.

And sometimes, we find ourselves in that same place.

Waiting.
Trusting.
Holding on to hope, even when we can’t yet see what God is doing.

But this is not the end of the story.

Sunday is coming. ✝️

As we reflect on Good Friday, we pause to remember the depth of Christ’s love for us.

It is a day marked by sacrifice, grace, and redemption—a reminder that even in the darkest moments, God’s plan is still at work. Jesus gave everything so that we could have hope, forgiveness, and new life.

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

Join us as we gather in reflection, prayer, and gratitude. Sunday is coming… ✝️

What do Baptists believe? 🤍

At the heart of Baptist faith is a simple but powerful truth: it’s all about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

We believe the Bible is God’s Word and our guide for life. We believe salvation is a gift of grace through faith not something we can earn. We believe in believer’s baptism, meaning each person makes their own decision to follow Christ and publicly declare that faith.

We value prayer, community, and the freedom for every individual to seek and follow God personally. No matter where you are on your journey, you’re invited to grow, ask questions, and walk alongside others in faith.

Come as you are. There’s a place for you here. ✨

🌿 As we approach Palm Sunday, we are reminded of the moment Jesus entered Jerusalem—welcomed with praise, hope, and open hearts.

“Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!”

This Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, a time to reflect on Christ’s journey, His sacrifice, and His unfailing love for us. Just as the crowd laid down palm branches, may we lay down our worries, our burdens, and our praise before Him.

Join us as we come together in worship, preparing our hearts for the joy of Easter. 💛

03/24/2026

As we move closer to Easter, let’s take time to pause and reflect. ✝️

This season reminds us that before the celebration of the resurrection, there was sacrifice… there was surrender… there was the cross.

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8

In the busyness of life, it can be easy to rush ahead—but there is something meaningful about slowing down and remembering the depth of His love.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

As we prepare our hearts for Easter, let’s draw near, reflect deeply, and remember the incredible gift we’ve been given.

We invite you to walk through this season with us as we look ahead to the hope, joy, and new life that is coming. 💛

03/23/2026

As we step into this beautiful season leading up to Easter, we are reminded of the hope, renewal, and new life that it brings. 🌿✨

This is a time to reflect on God’s love, to draw closer in faith, and to prepare our hearts for the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. No matter what season of life you’re in, Easter is a powerful reminder that light overcomes darkness and hope is never lost.

We invite you to join us in the coming weeks as we journey together in faith, prayer, and anticipation. Let’s prepare our hearts for the joy that Easter brings! 💛

“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” – Matthew 28:6

Did you know our church is part of Marshall’s rich history?

First Baptist Church has been a part of the Marshall community for well over a century. Before the church building was constructed, the Baptist Society in Marshall gathered for worship in places like Mechanics Hall, the courthouse, and even private homes. In 1851, the current church building was completed, making it the oldest church building in Marshall that is still standing today.

For generations, this church has been a place where people gather to worship, pray, serve the community, and grow in faith. From the earliest believers who met in small spaces to the congregation that worships here today, God has continued to work through this church and its people.

We are grateful to be part of a story that has been unfolding in Marshall for over 170 years—and we look forward to continuing to serve our community for many years to come.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8
