As you may know I have retired from quilting. My longarm has a new home. Now, on to the fabric etc!
Quite a few years ago my father in law found this beauty in a house he had bought. Supposedly it was an old fixture from a general store. It wasn’t pretty, and the top was covered in old stick- on shelf paper. After hours of removing that I stripped the wood top, gave it a protective coat and was happy to find a cutting mat that fit perfectly! It has four HUGE drawers on either side and can keep your fabric out of light, away from dust and ready to cut!
The dimensions are Height 34”, Width 41.5”, Length 60”. It can hold a LOT of fabric! I’m asking $250. You are welcome to check out what fabric I have and make an offer.

Today my longtime partner longarm Ruthie goes to a new home. She and her predecessor Hildegarde have given me an opportunity to do something I’ve loved. I’ve made lifelong friends along the way and been honored that they trusted me to quilt for them.
I’ll never forget the day, years ago, that my husband and I stopped at Fabric Center. There it was….a longarm machine! I turned to my husband Abe and said I would love to have one of those! His reply was “Well, let’s buy one!”
Best husband ever! Still is! (We’ve been together since early days of high school!). I named that machine Hildegarde and we were partners for a long time. When I upgraded to a bigger machine she went to live at my sister Beth’s house, and she’s still there.
I never considered robotics for my quilting. I wanted my quilting to be what came from my heart and I want to thank all of you that trusted me to quilt your beautiful quilts!
I’m so glad my mother insisted I learn how to quilt, years ago. I still enjoy hand quilting small things, it’s very relaxing, and reminds me of her.
Most of all I will miss all of you! I thank God for bringing all of you into my life!

I’ve retired from longarm quilting and my machine needs a new home. Her name is Ruthie, she’s is a Juki 2200QVP. We’ve had a good time together and she’s still got a lot of quilting to do for someone! No robotics, but she is easy to operate and will give you hours of quilting fun! Contact me for more info.
