Good afternoon! This weekend the churches brought in a lot of juices! Our top 3 for this weekend are: we had a tie for 3rd.
1st: United Methodist
2nd: Trinity Lutheran
3rd: St. Therese Catholic Community & First Baptist

Overall top 3 so far are
1st: United Methodist
2nd: First Baptist
3rd: Trinity Lutheran

Next week are sandwich spreads such as peanut butter, honey, jelly, marshmallow spread, etc.

Following weeks are snacks like fruit snacks, pudding, jello, etc.

The Gold cart trophy is back at the food pantry for the summer! First Baptist church says, " You will just have to bring it back!" Lol! What do you think guys?! Are they going to win again? Over the years, the trophy has only visited 3 churches. St. Joseph's, United Methodist, and First Baptist. The last 3 years in a row have been First Baptist though. Have fun!

We had an abundance of food come in for our first week of the friendly summer church competition. Usually the first week doesn't do as good as people forget. This is the best year we've had, starting out. This week was lunchables, cheese, lunch meat,etc. As always we will list the top 3. This time we have ties for both 1st and 2nd place!

1st: First Baptist & United Methodist
2nd: Church of God & Trinity Lutheran
3rd: Nazarene

It is that time of the year where we begin our friendly church competition! We collect items to give extra food to families with school aged children for the summer. This year we have 9 churches participating. This Sunday is lunchables, lunch meat, cheese, etc. if you'd like to donate, but don't belong to one of the 9 churches, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Don't forget to leave out food!

Today’s the day! 🌅📬 Letter carriers across the country are heading out on their routes with one extra mission: collecting your donations for the Food Drive.

If you haven’t already, there’s still time to help! Just leave a bag of nonperishable food by your mailbox before your carrier arrives. Every can, every box, every bag helps stock local food pantries and put meals on the table for families facing hunger.

For more than 30 years, NALC members have proudly led this effort while continuing to serve their communities on their regular routes. Today, we’re grateful for every carrier stepping up and every neighbor lending a hand. Let’s make a difference together!

Thank you to the community! Maximilian collected 1,350 cans of tuna!!!! This year the most a single individual donated was 175 cans. We even had a lady come all the way from Spring Valley because she saw it in the newspaper. Thank you again, this will last us a year where the food pantry will not have to purchase tuna. We are overwhelmed by the generosity!

Canned Tuna fish drive going on now! It ends at 11 and Maximilian's goal is 1200 cans! He is currently at 808 cans of tuna with 50 minutes to go! Please help him get to his goal. Thank you!

Just a reminder! Canned Tuna Fish Drive this coming Saturday! May 2nd from 9-11. Maximilian is turning 8 and has a goal of collecting 1200 tuna cans for the Marseilles food pantry. Just drive up and we will meet you at 200 Broadway, in front of the food pantry. Thank you!

It's that time of year! Our annual Postal food drive is Saturday May 9th. Place your food out by the mailbox and the mail carriers will make sure it's picked up. This food drive is always a huge help to us! For this food drive we are in need of things like:
BBQ sauces
Ketchup
Mustard
Dressings
Manwhich/BBQ
Breakfast items
Canned meat (don't forget Maximilian's tuna drive on Saturday May 2nd!)
Pasta sauces
Spaghetti o's
Pastas

Each year, letter carriers across the country head out on their routes on the second Saturday in May to collect donations of non-perishable food items to benefit local food banks & pantries. Since 1993, the National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive has grown into the nation’s largest one-day food drive.

This year's NALC food drive is on May 9, and area donations benefit Helping Harvest and our partners. Keep an eye out for information from your mail carrier on how to participate. It's as easy as placing a bag of non-perishable food near your mailbox on May 9, where it will be picked up by your mail carrier!
