In a world where children were often overlooked, the Apostle Paul did something radical in Ephesians 6:1 — he spoke directly to them.

Why? Because children are not spiritually insignificant. They are image bearers, eternal souls, and people invited into a real relationship with Jesus.

Children matter to God. Their hearts matter. Their formation matters. And parents have the sacred privilege of leading them toward Christ with love, truth, and grace.

Join us for Family Values as we explore God’s beautiful design for the family. Sundays at 10am at New Horizon Church.

From Ephesians 6:1–4 — three things children deeply need:

• Parents who lead.
• Parents who model.
• Parents who teach.

Children flourish when parents lovingly match their effort to the development of their children — guiding hearts, shaping character, and pointing them to Jesus every step of the way.

Join us for Family Values this Sunday at 10am at New Horizon Church.

Children are not meant to navigate life alone. God’s design for the family is beautiful and intentional.

In Ephesians 6:1–4, parents are called to lovingly lead, faithfully model, and intentionally teach their children the ways of Jesus.

Parents lead.
Parents model.
Parents teach.

Three ways to strengthen your marriage from Ephesians 5:22–31:

1. Stay close to Jesus — Healthy marriages are formed by hearts surrendered to Christ.

2. Cultivate respect and humility — Love grows where pride dies.

3. Practice vulnerability — Real intimacy is built through honesty, trust, and grace.

Marriage isn’t strengthened overnight. It’s formed day by day as two people learn to follow Jesus together.

Marriage has been deeply affected by sin—broken trust, selfishness, distance, and hurt. But the gospel gives hope. Through Jesus, what has been torn apart can be repaired, restored, and renewed.

In Ephesians 5:22–31, we see a picture of marriage shaped by selfless love, honor, grace, and sacrifice. God is still healing hearts, restoring homes, and teaching husbands and wives how to love one another again.

Marriage isn’t about perfection—it’s about cultivating the right disposition of heart.

A heart softened by Jesus learns to love selflessly, forgive quickly, honor deeply, and serve faithfully. Ephesians 5:22–31 reminds us that Christ-centered marriages are not built on flawless people, but on transformed hearts growing together in grace.

This week, we were reminded that a Christ-centered marriage doesn’t start with roles—it starts with hearts transformed by Jesus.

When her heart is filled with reverence for Christ and his heart is filled with deep affection for Him, everything begins to change. Out of that overflow, she honors her husband, and he loves his wife with selfless, sacrificial love.

Without Christ at the center, marriage becomes imbalanced at best—and broken at worst. But with Him, it becomes something beautiful, unified, and full of purpose.

Let’s keep placing Jesus at the center of our hearts this week.
