Good Morning Church!

This Wednesday at 7:00pm at the Marlow Church, together we will gather for an Ash Wednesday observance; the official beginning of the season of Lent.

Ash Wednesday is a quiet but powerful moment in the life of the Church; somewhat new in the Protestant Tradition. With the simple words, “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return,” we are invited to reflect honestly about our humanity. Together we are called to think about our limits, our stubbornness, our fragility, and our most importantly, our need for grace. It is not a moment of shame or performance, but an opening of the heart. In the end, Ash Wednesday gently reminds us of a powerful truth: we are finite, we are dependent, and we are deeply loved.

The ashes remind us that we already belong to God not because we are impressive, but because grace meets us exactly as we are.

Our service will include scripture, prayer, music, message, silence, and the imposition of ashes for those who wish to receive them. It will be simple, reflective, and grounded in hope.

Whether Lent is a familiar journey for you or something new, you are invited. Come as you are.

All are invited to join the Marlow Community COOKIE SWAP!
Bring four dozen holiday cookies, leave one dozen to split into boxes for shut-ins and for food pantry recipients. We will swap cookies at the church, then head over to the Chapel for an informal Christmas tea and a short reflection on "Finding Joy". Bring a box, tray, or container to carry your cookies home.
