Real revival doesn’t fit the mold of a typical church service. We've had enough of those. What we need is an outpouring—a move of God where we learn to tarry, to wait, and to surrender our agendas to let the Holy Spirit move as He wills. When we try to standardize revival, people leave exactly as they came—broken, empty, and hopeless.

We hold the authority and power to invite the Holy Spirit to move because we've shown Him our willingness to follow His lead. But the manifestation of His power only comes through vessels that are fully yielded.

It took 120 believers in the Upper Room, refusing to leave until the promise was fulfilled. It took 300 men in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1914 for the Holy Ghost to fall, sparking the Assemblies of God movement. It took William J. Seymour in 1906, on Azusa Street, putting his head in a box to seek God so deeply that we’re still talking about that outpouring today.

Yet here we are, caught up in surface-level debates, while millions are dying and heading to hell. We criticize Russell Brand for baptizing in his underwear, but where is our focus? We say we want revival, but are we truly ready to die to everything we think we know about church, religion, and Jesus Himself?

Let’s stop talking about revival until we’re willing to let go of the superficial and tap into the authentic power of God. We’ve barely scratched the surface of what He wants to do on the earth today.

LORD, help me serve Your people the way You desire me to.
