It’s Back to Church Sunday! As summer comes to an end, we’re excited to get back into things here at FBC. We’ve got bible studies, serve team opportunities and next steps toward membership. There are so many ways to get connected this Fall! 🍁
But let’s talk about the real reason behind why we do any of this - Jesus!
Jesus: the Messiah, the Lamb of God, the promised King - HE is the reason we come to church and fellowship together week after week.
In John 1:38 Jesus asks the people behind Him “What are you seeking?” … giving them a moment to really think about why they were following Him.
Sometimes, we can come to church and still miss Jesus. We can check it off our to-do lists and not even think about God again until the following Sunday. Other times, we think we need to have it all together to come to church at all. Neither of these are what Jesus really wants from us. He invites us to “Come and see” … to Him, just as we are and get to know Him personally. To trust in the savior who so willingly gave his life for YOU.
