First show of 23 in the books. Despite low traffic I made my goal of selling at least 5 wreaths. The hardest to let go was the “be kind” wreath! The easiest was the Highland grad wreath- just because I’m a Marlboro fan! Next show will be the weekend of May 20/21 in Milton. The first is a” From my heart to your table” event and the second will be at MMiM “May Fest” at true value hardware in Milton. Come see what’s new!

Good afternoon! We hope you all enjoyed our R.E.P get together yesterday. It was great splitting up into groups. I know I connected with my first graders! I can’t wait until we meet next in 2/5/23, we will remind each other of the first “lesson” and build on it with the new gospel stories that Sunday.

If you missed mass this morning, you can still go at 7!

A blessed Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary! What is it that we celebrate in this great feast? As children of God we celebrate:

1) the Blessed Virgin Mary’s wondrous conception without original sin;
2) by her simultaneously receiving a wondrous ‘twofold gift’ of life from God, her Creator and Redeemer;
3) the gift of natural human life;
4) along with the immeasurably greater gift of supernatural divine life, the very life of the Blessed Trinity;
5) which is that “fulness of grace” (Luke 1:28) that made her “all holy” (“Panagia”);
6) so as to prepare her to be the great Mother of God (Theotokos - Luke 1:43);
7) and our Mother too, in the divine order of grace (John 19:26; Rev 12:17)!

How truly fitting it is to celebrate this feast — especially in the liturgical season of Advent — as it prepares us to receive and to celebrate the birth of her Son, just as she did. Glory to God in the highest!

Isn’t it amazing?

With all the business of regular life and Christmas plans, slow it down. Less is more. I’m a Christmas fanatic, it this year I’m using less of my stuff to put out and I’ve started mixing and freezing dough one recipient a day. I’ll bake next week, I’ll do as much shopping online as possible and try to wrap presents as I buy them. Also, I have my husband and two grown kids that can help. You shouldn’t have to do it all, all alone!

As we enter the Christmas season, we are reminded of the glory of God and all He has done. When Jesus came down to earth, He brought salvation to all peoples, of all nations, across the world. Praise God!
