One leap for man, a giant leap for Scouting! ⚜️ An Eagle Scout himself, Armstrong took his World Scout Badge to the moon. 🤩

You may have heard that 4 young men rescued two children from a pond at Beacon Hill. The two children were sleigh riding when they went over a hill and into an icy pond. The young men (high school freshmen) formed a chain and got the two children out of the water which they fell in when the ice broke. Two of the young men were scouts from Troop 47 out of Leonardo. Scouts practice ice recuse every winter at the Klondike Derby and are taught it in the Scout Hand Book. Another example of Scouting in action.
