Please join Our Lady of Lourdes Church as we celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph by Praying a special Rosary that honors the life and virtues of St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus and spouse of the Virgin Mary, through five mysteries: 1)The Betrothal to Mary, 2)The Annunciation to Joseph, 3)The Birth and Naming of Jesus, 4)The Flight into Egypt, and 5)The Hidden Life at Nazareth. Each mystery is accompanied by the recitation of the Our Father, ten Hail Josephs and the Glory Be, with the rosary beginning and ending with additional prayers emphasizing St. Joseph’s purity, fidelity, humility and his role in the Holy Family, while asking for his intercession to help the faithful imitate his virtues and trust in God’s will.

Congratulations to Andrew Dauzat who has been named the 2026 recipient of the esteemed Catholic Youth Leadership Award, sponsored by the Louisiana State Knights of Columbus and our local Our Lady of Lourdes Knights of Columbus Council #9418. Father Kenneth Obiekwe looked on proudly as the CYLA award was presented to Andrew Dauzat on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the 4pm Mass by local K of C members, Kenneth Ducote and Grand Knight, Wilbert Carmouche. This award is locally known as the Keelan Normand Memorial CYLA Award, in honor of the 1999 award winner, whose life was tragically cut short before he could receive his award. Presently, Andrew is a senior at LASAS (Louisiana School for the Agriculture Sciences), where he has maintained a 4.25-point grade average. He is a member of the Fellowship of Christian students at LASAS and LSUA, where he is in the dual enrollment program during his senior year. Andrew is also an active member of 4-H and the LASAS FFA chapter, has attended the National FFA convention, and is the recipient of the Louisiana 4-H Global Citizen Scholarship. Additionally, he is a member of the Avoyelles and Louisiana Cattleman’s Association. After graduating from high school, Andrew plans to enroll at LSU in Baton Rouge, majoring in agribusiness with a minor in communication, and ultimately pursue a master's degree in agribusiness. Andrew has been an active member of OLL Church, serving as a lector at CCD masses and volunteering his services wherever needed. Andrew is the son of Derek and Kristin Dauzat.

Save the date for the annual Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church’s Allons Souper a’Lourdes taste fair. This fun, family-oriented event is an ideal opportunity to treat your mother. The taste fair is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 5pm to 7pm in the Church Hall. Tickets for the dinner meal and raffle will be available for purchase in early April.
