Judges 1:27-35
God always gives choices, but Israel had to be protected because of the future coming of Jesus. He was to come through the lineage of Israel. Enemies of Israel had to be stopped and even destroyed if necessary.

Throughout the Book of Judges we see a cycle. The people show fervent faith in God then they would fall away from Him and began to disobey Him more and more. When they were at their worst, they would turn back to God. This was a repeated cycle throughout generations. Each generation failed to impress the wonders of God to their children.

We are to define sin as God does -- not a loose definition. It is to be a true definition based on God's word. We cannot serve two masters. Either we completely obey God, or we are not living within God's will. Partial obedience is not real obedience.
