Sunday Recap đź’¦

This Sunday we wrapped up our 8-week series on “Road Trip with the Rabbi”.
Today Pastor Brian had another jam-packed informative sermon.
Today we read from Mark 4:35-41 and again learned that sometimes knowing a little bit about a location & where stories take place really does have the potential to change absolutely everything.
We started off with Jesus’ disciples seeing truly who Jesus was because He rebuked the storm to “Quiet! Be still!”, and it obeyed Him.

In Mark 4 the destination location was Decapolis, a very pagan and evil place- even more than Caesarea Philippi, because in the minds of the people of Galilee, Satan actually lived in Decapolis.

We also read from Mark 5:1-20.
Sometimes the most important things to know about an area is it’s history.
As you read through these verses the man named Legion is rather disturbing but to understand Jesus’ plan helps us understand why Jesus went to Gerasenes and why He healed the multi-demon possessed man.

Have you ever found yourself in the storms?
Our natural response to things we don’t understand is fear.

Even for that man Jesus had a purpose, and he has a purpose for you too.

Jesus is going to call you directly into the storms of life, but the good news is, is that He’s going to be with you every step of the way. Even if it seems like He’s not.
Our question is…How much do you trust your Rabbi?

Sunday Worship Lineup 🙌🏽🎶

• Do What You Want To
• Blessed Be Your Name
• Good Good Father
• Oceans
• Abide

Every song we sing is chosen with intention, and we truly believe worship has a way of speaking to people right where they are. 🙏

Learning new worship songs helps us grow, reflect, and express our faith in fresh ways. Some songs encourage us, some challenge us, and some simply remind us to slow down and rest in God’s presence. 💛

No matter what kind of week you’ve had, we pray these songs meet you where you’re at and point your heart back to Him.

Bring a friend, bring your family, or just come as you are—we’d love to worship with you this Sunday.

Sunday Recap đź’¦

This week in “Road Trip with the Rabbi”, we arrived in Jerusalem and walked through the healing at the pool from John 5:1–18.

This sermon was packed with historical context, details, and deeper meaning—because with Scripture, the details really do matter.

Pastor Brian pointed out something many of us had never noticed before: verse 4 is missing in many modern-day Bibles. Learning the background behind that was incredibly interesting. John didn’t write verse 4, but many scholars believe it was added as a margin note or footnote to help explain what was happening in verse 3, but was later removed.

We also learned that every miracle Jesus performs in the Gospel of John is in direct conflict with one of the Greek gods worshipped in that culture. Once you understand the setting and context, the story comes alive in a whole new way.

One of the biggest takeaways from Sunday:
For Jesus, the #1 priority is always human life. He came to bring hope and healing to the world.

Again, we apologize for the technical issues with the sound during service. You can always listen to our sermons on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

We’re so thankful you joined us this Sunday!

A quick reminder:

Today we remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our country and the freedoms we enjoy every day. 🇺🇸 🙌🏽

Their courage, sacrifice, and love for this nation will never be forgotten. As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we also take a moment to honor the fallen and pray for the loved ones they left behind.

Freedom has never come without a cost.
Today, we remember those who paid it all.

God bless America. ❤️🤍💙

Song list for Sunday 🎶🙌🏽

This week’s worship lineup is full of songs about freedom, grace, surrender, and the goodness of God through every season.

• I’ll Fly Away
• Open Up the Heavens
• This Is Amazing Grace
• Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)
• Gracefully Broken

Life can get heavy sometimes—work stress, anxiety, relationships, uncertainty, burnout… all of it. Sunday is a chance to step away from the chaos for a while and be reminded that you don’t have to carry everything alone. 💛

Invite your friends, invite your family, or come by yourself. Bring your worries, bring your struggles, bring your heartache—and lay them at the altar. 🙌🏽

There’s a place for you here, and we’d love to worship with you this Sunday.
