Join us tomorrow, September 25, from 9 a.m. to noon for an open house at Grand Prairie Cemetery.

We’ll have examples of different ways a person can be buried green. You can explore our new green burial space, learn about tree burial, and ask any questions you may have.

We’d love to show you around! 🌳

🌳🌳Ever hear someone say "I want to be a tree" when referring to burial? 🌳🌳 Here is how we can make that happen for you:
Our Living Legacy section allows your family to purchase one large, dedicated space. The first person may be laid to rest through either a full-body green burial or cremation, in a biodegradable container with no embalming and a memorial tree planted above them.
Over time, the cremated remains of up to 10 additional loved ones may be placed around the tree—creating a lasting family gathering place where each person becomes part of its continuing growth and legacy.
Four nearby spaces may also be available for full-body burials at an additional cost.
One tree. One family. A legacy that continues to grow. 💚

We’re honored to announce that the Living Legacy area of our cemetery is now open—a special place where life continues to grow.

This peaceful green burial space offers a natural alternative to traditional burial. A tree is planted above each burial site, and as the body naturally returns to the earth, it nourishes the soil and supports the tree’s growth.

What remains is more than a memorial. It’s a living legacy—growing stronger, providing beauty and shelter, and standing as a lasting tribute for generations.

A beautiful way to return to nature. A meaningful way to be remembered. 💚
