Spring Finals Week Care Packages!

Finals week is coming soon, and Eastmoor wants our College and VoTech students to know we’re cheering them on every step of the way! The ladies of United Women in Faith gathered all the goodies, and a special thank you to Donna Kreutziger for packaging each box with such care. We’re so grateful!

After this picture, each package was topped off with candy and a note of encouragement and scripture - a reminder that Eastmoor is praying for our students during this busy and important season!

On this Administrative Professionals’ Day, I give heartfelt thanks to Donna Hett, whose faithful service keeps our Church organized, welcoming, and effective. Much of what happens smoothly each week is the fruit of quiet dedication behind the scenes. Thank you, Donna, for all that you do!
I invite each of you to join me in expressing gratitude, through a kind word, a note, or a simple act of appreciation. Let us honor those who serve not for recognition, but out of love and commitment.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
With gratitude,
Pastor David

Windows of Worship! Week 1

This first window of our series invites us to reflect on the fullness of God’s presence - above us, with us, and within us.

At the top, the triangle and eye remind us of God the Father - the Holy Trinity and the ever-present God who sees, knows, and watches over all creation.

At the center, we find three familiar symbols: the cross, the heart, and the anchor. Together, they represent faith, hope, and love - the foundation of the Christian life. Faith in Christ, hope in His promises, and love that reflects His heart.

At the bottom, the dove and flame symbolize the Holy Spirit - present with us still, guiding, renewing, and empowering us to live out our faith each day.

This window tells a beautiful, unified story: God above us, Christ at the center of our lives, and the Spirit moving within us.

“Now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” – 1 Corinthians 13:13

Join us next Wednesday as we continue our journey through Windows of Worship—one story of light at a time.

Behind the Scenes: Kids For Christ!

Yesterday was our final KFC Monday of the school year. Week after week, these incredible KFC leaders faithfully showed up to pour into the lives of over 20 kids, teaching them about Jesus, sharing truth, and building lasting relationships. Their dedication, consistency, and love have made an eternal impact that goes far beyond what we can see.

We are so grateful for each one of them and the time, energy, and heart they’ve given this year. Thank you for being an example of faith in action!

Donation Boxes in the Foyer!

If you haven’t noticed yet, we now have two clearly labeled donation boxes in the foyer to make giving simple and convenient. Each box includes a list of suggested items - just bring your donations anytime the church is open and drop them in!

We’re currently collecting for:
Safehope – Supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence with safety, advocacy, and essential resources.
Klothes Kloset (OpenDoor UMC) – Providing free clothing to children, youth, and adults in need.

Thank you for continuing to show up for our community with such generosity and love. Every donation truly makes a difference!

We sang “He Lives” as our closing hymn last Sunday! A meaningful reminder of Christ’s presence in our daily lives. ♥️ Where have you seen Him at work this week?

Alfred Henry Ackley wrote the hymn "He Lives" (no. 310 in The United Methodist Hymnal) as a response to a couple encounters with disbelief. When faced with questions regarding his faith in Jesus, Ackley noted that he felt Christ's ongoing presence in his everyday life. Christ lived in him and those around him.

🎶 "He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me Along life’s narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives:
He lives within my heart."

💭 Where or when have you witnessed the living presence of Jesus lately?

Windows of Worship!

Here on Facebook, we’re beginning a new weekly series called Windows of Worship, where we’ll explore the stained glass windows of Resurrection Sanctuary - one window each Wednesday.

The series will includes 6 windows in the nave, 2 in the narthex, and the South stained glass doors. These windows were designed by Dr. T.C. Ensey of Marion, Kansas and are rich with biblical symbolism and the message of the Resurrection at the center of Christian faith.

Each week, we’ll take a closer look at one window and the story it tells through light, color, and Scripture.

Join us each Wednesday as we discover Windows of Worship - where faith is seen in light!
