This past Sunday in 1 Corinthians 6, we were reminded of a powerful truth: "You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

The Christian life is not about asking, "What am I allowed to do?"
It is about asking, "Who do I belong to?"
We have been purchased by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Our lives, our bodies, our thoughts, our relationships, and our choices all belong to Him.

As we move through the rest of this week, let's take a moment to reflect on these questions:
🔹 What is influencing or controlling me right now?
🔹 Am I living under the lordship of Jesus or allowing something else to take His place?
🔹 Are there temptations I need to flee rather than flirt with?
🔹 Am I honoring God with my body, mind, and choices?
🔹 Am I remembering that I was bought with a price?

Joseph fled from temptation and lost his cloak, but he kept his integrity. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is walk away from something that is pulling you away from Christ.

Let's continue pursuing holiness, not because we're trying to earn God's love, but because we have already been loved, redeemed, and purchased by Christ.

This past Sunday we discussed that the goal of conviction is not condemnation—it's restoration. Paul reminds us in chapter 5 of 1 Corinthians that the church is not called to celebrate what destroys people, but to lovingly call one another toward holiness, repentance, and life in Christ.

As we move through this week, let’s ask ourselves honestly:
• Have I become comfortable with something that grieves the Lord?
• Have I mistaken tolerance for grace?
• Am I pursuing transformation or merely appearances?
• Is there someone I need to lovingly encourage or pray for?

The Spirit of God lives within believers. May we never lose sensitivity to His conviction or His holiness. And let's remember that grace does not redefine sin—grace rescues us from it.
Let’s continue walking in humility, repentance, and surrender to Jesus this week.

This past Sunday in our series through 1 Corinthians, we were reminded that God is not looking for polished performances, He is forming faithful people.

🪜 NEXT STEPS FROM WEEK 5:

1: Pursue faithfulness over recognition.
Stop measuring your life by applause, visibility, influence, or the approval of people. God is not asking you to be famous—He is asking you to be faithful.

2: Let God transform you—not just inform you.
It is possible to know Scripture, sound spiritual, and still remain spiritually immature. The goal is not merely learning more truth—the goal is becoming more like Jesus.

3: Receive correction with humility.
Biblical correction is not rejection—it is God refusing to leave us where we are. Sometimes grace tells us hard truths…not to crush us, but to call us higher.

4: Reflect Christ through the way you live.
The kingdom of God is not merely talk—it is power. Let your walk match your words. Let your character reflect Jesus.

Don’t settle for appearance without transformation, knowledge without maturity, or spirituality without surrender. The goal is not to look impressive. The goal is to become like Jesus.
The kingdom is not about building our name—it is about reflecting His. 🔥

Hello friends! đź‘‹ We think prayer is pretty important. Here are a few Scripture references to support that idea:

Ephesians 6:18—Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.

James 5:13—Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.

Proverbs 15:8—The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is acceptable to him.

Psalm 102:17—He regards the prayer of the destitute and does not despise their prayer.

Romans 12:12—Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Philippians 4:6—Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

1 Timothy 2:1-2—First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.

Colossians 4:2—Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18—Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Psalm 141:2—Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice!

James 5:16—Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

So yeah, we think we should pray.🙏🙌

A Church in Crisis — Week 4 (Follow-Up)

This past Sunday, we were challenged from 1 Corinthians 3 to grow up in our faith and be intentional about how we are building our lives.

The foundation is already set—Jesus Christ. But the question is what are we building on that foundation?

🪜 Next Steps for This Week
1. Grow up in your faith.
Spiritual growth doesn’t happen by accident.
Let's pursue the Lord daily through His Word, prayer, and worship.

2. Refocus on Jesus.
Don’t elevate personalities or cultural voices above Jesus.
Let's keep our eyes fixed on Him.

3. Build what lasts.
Take an honest look at your time, energy, and priorities.
Are we investing in what is eternal?

4. Protect the unity of the church.
We are God’s temple.
Let's choose words and actions that build up, not tear down.

We are building something with our lives. Let's make sure it’s something that will last. Let’s continue to grow, build, and follow Jesus together. 🙌

📖 A Church in Crisis — Week 4

We’re continuing our series through 1 Corinthians this Sunday, and this week we’re focusing on what it means to truly grow in Christ. It’s one thing to know the truth and it’s another thing to live it.

📣 This week we’ll look at:
* What spiritual maturity really looks like
* Why the church belongs to God—not people
* And what it means that you are God’s temple

🙌 You don’t have to stand at a distance. Because of Jesus, God’s Spirit dwells in His people.

Join us this Sunday at 10:30am as we worship and open God’s Word together.

Let’s grow together. 🌱

A Church in Crisis — Week 3 Next Steps

This past Sunday we were reminded that the Spirit reveals truth, but maturity is living in that truth. It’s not just about understanding the gospel—it’s about being transformed by it.

🪜 Next Steps for This Week
1. Identify where I am still spiritually immature.
Ask the Lord: “Where am I still living like Corinth instead of Christ?”
Where, in my life, do I still see jealousy; strife; pride; and reaction like the world? Let’s be honest before the Lord.

2. Move beyond spiritual infancy.
Ask the Lord: "Am I growing or just repeating the basics? Am I being stretched or staying comfortable?"
God didn’t save us so we would stay the same—He expects us to grow in Him.

3. Submit my thinking to the Holy Spirit.
Pray: Holy Spirit, shape how I think.
We need to submit to the work of the Spirit.

4. Act on the truth I already know.
Pray: “Holy Spirit, shape how I live.”
Not reacting emotionally or reacting naturally but responding as a follower of Jesus.
Maturity is not knowing more, it’s obeying what you already know.

The Spirit has opened our eyes to truth—let's let Him shape our life by that truth.
Let’s be a people who are not just informed but transformed. 🙌
