Today, our Pastor delivered a timely and dynamic message entitled "You're Well Above the Storm"with the subtopic "Don't Fear the Noise" from Mark 4:35-39
One of the key reminders was that disturbed people can often try to disturb your peace. When others see you at peace and happy in your church, workplace, home, or relationships, they may try to disturb you.
As believers, we must learn to recognize the enemy's tactics and his odor and not allow the noise around us to distract us from God. Whether it's gossip, criticism, negativity, or the opinions of the "street committee," don't let the thunder steal your focus.
Life brings many storms—sickness, financial challenges, hardship, grief, and spiritual warfare. But Pastor reminded us that there is no storm we face that we have not already seen before.
He identified three types of storms:
• Storms of Correction– self-inflicted storms caused by our poor choices or mistakes.
• Storms of Perfection– storms God allows to strengthen and develop us, as He did with Job.
• Storms of Opposition– spiritual attacks designed to discourage, distract, and hinder God's purpose for our lives.
The message concluded with a powerful reminder: If you're going to check the forecast, make sure you're listening to the right weatherman—the One who sees every storm before it arrives and has the power to bring you through it.
Stay focused. Stay prayerful. Stay above the storm.
