What does faith look like when it crosses borders, languages, and cultures?

This Sunday, we invite you to hear from missionaries Benjamin and Tricia Groenewold Van Dyk, who serve at LCC International University in Lithuania. Through teaching, mentoring, hospitality, and community-building, they walk alongside students from across Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and beyond as they explore life's biggest questions and encounter the love of God.

Come hear their stories, be inspired by their ministry, and learn how God is at work in places both near and far.

Sunday School at 9am
Worship at 10:30 am

All are welcome!

Happy Pride Month! 🌈

For many LGBTQIA+ people, church has not always been a place of safety, belonging, or celebration. Too often, the message they received was that the opposite. That they were/are unwelcome, unseen, or unloved.
We grieve that reality.

We believe the love of God is wider than our fears, deeper than our divisions, and stronger than anything that would separate us from one another.

At First Presbyterian Church of Marion, we celebrate that every person is created in the image of God and beloved by God. We strive to be a community where all can worship, serve, question, grow, and belong.

As followers of Christ, we are continually learning what it means to love our neighbors as ourselves. We do not claim perfection, but we do seek to follow Jesus who welcomed people to the table again and again.

This Pride Month, and every month:
All are loved. All are celebrated. All are welcome.

Community garden volunteers laying a new waterline. Volunteers were from this church, U of I Extension, FFA from Marion High School, and the Salvation Army. A real blessing from God for gathering this group of volunteers!

"Come build a church with soul and spirit,
Come build a church of flesh and bone.
We need no tower rising skyward;
No house of wood, or glass, or stone.
Come build a church with human frailty.
Come build a church of flesh and blood.
Jesus shall be its sure foundation.
It shall be built by the hand of God."
