When obsession is misdirected, someone gets burned.

Samson's story in Judges 14-15 isn't just ancient history—it's a mirror for our own lives. He was called to be set apart, holy, and different. Instead, he chased after the wrong things, made bets he shouldn't have made, and put people in impossible situations. His first wife paid the ultimate price for his misdirected passions.

Here's the truth: it matters who you marry, what you pursue, and where you place your devotion. When we abandon our calling to be obsessed with Jesus and chase after anything else—relationships, possessions, popularity—destruction follows. But there's hope! If we make a turn NOW, we can prevent a burn LATER.

Jesus is calling you home today. Not with condemnation, but with open arms. He's already obsessed with you. The question is: will you redirect your obsession toward Him?

Ever feel like you're living in a mess that could have been avoided? This Sunday we kicked off our new series "Unnecessary" diving into the story of Samson - the strongest man who ever lived. But here's the twist: God didn't start with strength. He started with surrender.

Before Samson ever performed an act of strength, he belonged to God. Before Jesus performed miracles, He surrendered to the Father's will. The question for us today is the same: Will you surrender your life, ambitions, idols, and sin to Him?

Israel thought they knew better than God's instructions, and it led them into 40 years of oppression. Sound familiar? We often do the same - holding onto that one thing God is asking us to release. But here's the truth: You belong to God. He claimed you before your biggest mess and before your greatest accomplishment.

Every unnecessary mess begins with a step away from God's will. Every step toward freedom begins with a yes. What's your next yes?

When Jesus found Peter, Peter found his voice. When Jesus finds us, we find ours too.

This Pentecost Sunday, we celebrated the moment everything changed—when 120 traumatized, silent disciples became bold proclaimers of the Gospel. They had lost their voice after witnessing Jesus' crucifixion, but when the Holy Spirit fell in Acts 2, they were empowered to do the impossible: speak in languages they never learned and turn 3,000 hearts to Christ in one day.

Here's the truth: The Holy Spirit wasn't sent because the church needed a mission. The Spirit was sent because God's mission needed a church. That same Spirit is available to you today—to heal your trauma, restore your voice, and empower you to share Jesus with boldness.

What happens inside the house should shake what's outside the house. Your family. Your workplace. Your city. The same God who transformed Jerusalem wants to transform Marion through ordinary people filled with His extraordinary Spirit.

What qualifies you to do amazing things for God?

The Apostle Paul had an incredible answer: simply being a recipient of grace and mercy. Not his education, not his credentials, not his past achievements—just God's undeserved grace. This morning we explored Paul's radical transformation from persecutor to world-changing missionary, and discovered that his story is our story too.

Here's the truth: we're not called to defend the gospel or win arguments. We're called to testify to God's goodness. When someone disagrees with you, what if instead of debating, you simply said, "Let me tell you what Jesus has done for me"? That's a story no one can argue with.

If Jesus has brought you from death to life, from darkness to light—you have a story worth telling. You're qualified. The only question left is: what will you do about it? Will you get up and take action?
