What are you waiting for? That question cuts both ways. We sometimes ask it of God, wondering why He has not yet wrapped up history. But in 2 Peter 3:8-18, we find that God is asking it right back at us. His patience is not slowness. It is love. He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

This Sunday we closed out our Unhurried series with a challenge that is hard to shake. If you are ready for Jesus to return, are the people around you ready too? The same patience that gave you time to say yes is still at work for your neighbors, your coworkers, your family members who have not said yes yet.

God has been waiting for some of us to care about lost people the way He does. Today is a great day to stop making Him wait.

Even when we are in a place where the enemy wants us, we are never in a place where God cannot find us. This Sunday, Pastor Steve brought a powerful message from 1 Kings 19, where the prophet Elijah found himself exhausted, isolated, and ready to give up — only to be met by God with rest, nourishment, and a renewed purpose.

Are you running from something today? The enemy loves to isolate us and convince us of things that simply are not true. But God's response to Elijah was not condemnation — it was bread, water, and a gentle whisper calling him back.

Jesus declared in John 6 that he is the bread of life, and he is the only one who can satisfy the deepest hungers of the human heart. No matter how far you have run, he can find you, restore you, and remind you that he is not finished with you yet.

Are you living life in a constant rush, always hurrying from one thing to the next? In this week's message from our Unhurried series, Pastor Steve reminded us that God is not a race car -- he is a pace car, and he sets the pace for our lives on purpose.

From Isaiah 52, we see that when God brought his people out of exile, he told them not to leave in haste. He would go before them and be their rear guard at the same time. And through the Holy Spirit, that same God now lives within us -- which means we never have to live in frantic, frenzied hurry.

Jesus never rushed. He knew the place and he knew the pace. The invitation today is to stop tailgating God and start trusting him with your schedule, your speed, and your life.

How do you start your day?

Are you carrying burdens that were never meant to be yours? In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus extends a powerful invitation to all who are weary -- not just tired, but soul-deep exhausted -- to come to him, take his yoke, and find genuine rest.

This week at Marian Nazareth, Pastor Steve reminded us that there is a big difference between being tired and being weary. Tired is fixed with sleep. Weariness requires something altogether different -- a relationship with Jesus where he sets the pace, carries the weight, and guides the direction of our lives.

The solution to a weary life is not a lazy life. It is an easy yoke. When we stop grabbing burdens that are not ours to carry -- worry, shame, guilt, impossible expectations -- and start walking in step with Jesus, we discover that his burden truly is light.

If you are weary today, his invitation stands: come to him. You do not have to walk out the same way you walked in.

What if your busyness is not just a scheduling problem, but a spiritual one? This week at Marian Naz, Pastor Josiah opened our brand new series, Unhurried, with a powerful challenge: hurry is not just a fast pace of life. It is an inner state that disconnects us from God, others, and even ourselves.

Through the story of Philip and the Ethiopian eu**ch in Acts 8, we saw what it looks like to slow down, accept God's interruptions, and make room to hear His voice. The Ethiopian was not too busy to read Scripture on his journey, and that unhurried posture changed his life forever.

God has never been too rushed to reach you. He is always right on time. If hurry has been stealing your peace, your presence, and your connection with God, this series is for you. Join us each week as we learn to ruthlessly eliminate hurry together.

What if the most important role in someone's story of salvation is not the prophet, the pastor, or the powerful leader — but the servant? In 2 Kings 5, it was unnamed servants who made all the difference in Naaman's healing and life transformation. The same is true today.

This Sunday we heard incredible stories of people finding new life in Jesus — a retired neighbor who opened her home to teenagers on her street, and a 64-year-old man who gave his life to Christ the very first time he walked through our doors. None of those stories happen without ordinary people who said yes to serving.

Serving is not an event. It is a way of life. And there are thousands of stories waiting to happen — the only thing missing is a servant who says, "Send me."

Attention Church! We have an opportunity to make a big difference with world missions!

We are collecting new and used bed sheets to turn into rolled bandages for the Kudjip Nazarene Hospital in Papua New Guinea. The bandages are made from old sheets that have been torn into strips and rolled into rolls. The hospital uses them for a variety of purposes. Kudjip Nazarene Hospital in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea is a mission hospital operated by the Church of the Nazarene, serving the people of PNG since 1967.
Nazarene Hospital is a mission hospital affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene in Papua New Guinea. It serves as a Provincial Hospital for Jiwaka Province serving an area of around 300,000. Primary health care and community based health care emphasize healthy communities, health education, immunizations, antenatal care and well childcare. Papua New Guinea is a developing country and has limited ability to provide the hospital with supplies, medicines, and technical support like we expect in the United States.

We will have a marked location in the lobby where you can bring in bed sheets that a team will later cut, sew, and roll.
If you are planning to donate used bed sheets, please wash them before bringing them in! Since the sheets will be cut, you can donate any sized sheet.

We will be collecting donations for the entire month of August!
