Tornado Donation Center Needs Volunteers

Dear West Ohio friends,

Last week, several communities in Logan County, OH, were devastated by tornados. Though not damaged by the storm, Christ UMC in Lakeview is just blocks away from some of the hardest hit areas. This small church averages just 10 in worship each Sunday, but led by Student Pastor Abigail Adams, Christ UMC has opened its doors as a donation center. Now full of donated items, Pastor Abby needs volunteers to come every day to sort donations, oversee supplies, and listen to survivors as they come to pick up needed items. No special skills are required - just a loving heart and a listening ear.

Starting this Thursday, volunteers are needed on weekdays and Saturdays, 9am-1pm and 1-5pm, to keep the center open and attend to whatever needs arise. You may also sign up to bring lunch to the volunteers on any day the donation center is open. The sign-up link for the next two weeks is below.
