Who loves Fall? We do! We are so excited to host a church-wide Fall Fest. Join us for an evening filled with fun for the whole family. There will be a BYOP (pumpkin) carving contest, cornhole/volleyball/spikeball tournaments*, and carnival games for kids!

Cornerstone Kids - Preschool:

This week we taught preschoolers the Bible story of God calling Abram from Genesis 12:1-9; 15:1-6; and 17:5. Abram, later called Abraham, trusted in God and believed God would always keep His promises. Preschoolers can know God wants them to trust in Him because He is faithful. At bedtime this week, pray with your preschoolers and thank God for always keeping His promises. Remind your preschoolers that because God always keeps His promises, we can always trust in Him.

Cornerstone Kids Elementary:

We taught kids this week that we can trust in God. In Genesis 12 and 15, God made a promise to a man named Abram, who is later called Abraham. God kept His promise because He is faithful and trustworthy. Kids learned they can trust in God as well. As we know God, we know He is faithful and always keeps His promises. Be intentional to make a promise to your kids this week, and be sure to follow through! Talk about how God always keeps His promises, so we can trust in Him every day and everywhere we go.

March 2025 Preview

Our March Big Deal for preschoolers is, “Step By Step! God Wants Me to Know Him!” We get to teach preschoolers that they can know God. This February at Cornerstone Church, we are teaching Elementary Kiddos the Simple Truth, “I Am Loved” with the Theme Power Up. Sensitive Santa
An estimated 1/3 of children today experience sensory sensitivity. Sensory sensitivity occurs when children or adults have a heightened sensitivity to any one of their senses. Examples are noise, crowds, bright and flashing lights or strong scents. Think how difficult it can be for families to take their children to see Santa, all the lights, long lines of people, loud talking or other children crying and Christmas music being played. As you can imagine this type of event is very sensory rich, and not conducive to a positive experience for a child with sensory sensitivity.
In recognizing the hardship families must go through when visiting Santa with children who are on the Autism Spectrum, Deaconess IL Medical Center is bringing Sensitive Santa to our local families.

We will have our Santa room with gentle lighting, limited Santa helpers in the room and your child’s favorite items as presents. We will have 15-minute appointments with Santa for each family. During this time, we will hopefully get a family picture with Santa as well as presents from Santa. Absolutely no pressure on pictures with Santa.
