At the end of the year we turn with eagerness to all that God has for the future, and yet anxiety can rise from remembering the yesterday's. Our present enjoyment of God's grace can be hindered by remembering yesterday's sins and disappointment. But God is also the God of our yesterday's and can turn our past into a ministry for the future. God's hand reaches back to the past and forgives, restores and reconciles, because of Jesus.
As we go forth into the coming year, let it not be in the hurried busyness or with impulsive thoughtlessness. Go forth with the patient power of knowing that God will go before us (Deut 31:8)
Our yesterday's, sometimes seem irreparable; It is true that we have lost opportunities that may never return but God can transform this into a constructive thoughtfulness for the future because He works all things for good for those who love God and are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Let the past sleep. Leave the past in his hands and step out in the irresistible, amazing future with Jesus!
Hold on to Phillipians 3:13-14 TPT I don't depend on my own strength to accomplish this, however I do have one compelling focus; I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory prize through the anointing of Jesus.
